Newcastle have been shite recently but they do have a bit of hatred for Arsenal, so hopefully make it difficultBeat Burnley and Newcastle beat them and were top of the league with a game in hand. Fulham won't be easy either.
I told you cunts in the pre match they’d come and have a proper go. There was absolutely no way they were going to come and camp on the edge of their box and play for a 0-0.We have to give credit to Arsenal for coming to the Etihad and trying to win the game.
Yes they wasted time, used the dark arts, etc. but they also attacked and had chances to win the game.
It was a great game if football with both teams going for it.
How do you get harder fixtures than Southampton? They couldn't beat them, only just beat Mansfield in the previous round, only just beat Everton with 90th+ minute goals, lost at home to Bournemouth, lost a 2 goal lead at Wolves, only scraped through by the odd goal in 2 legs v Sporting, struggled against Brighton and against Chelsea, who played with 10 men for over an hour. On current form they might not win any of their last 5, let alone all of them, bearing in mind they still have two tough ties against Atletico.View attachment 189778
slightly surprising since Arsenal have the points on the board and we have i would say harder fixtures
I like it when you get all truculent…I told you cunts in the pre match they’d come and have a proper go. There was absolutely no way they were going to come and camp on the edge of their box and play for a 0-0.
The usual loons jumped in and showed again they don’t understand the game.
According to the highlights on Sky it was all Arsenal and basically City had 2 efforts and nothing else ............yes Arsenal did have decent chances but so did CityWe had 59% possession, 15 to 9 shots, 5 to 3 on target. And Gabriel should have walked twice. That handball was pretty identical to Bernardo's against Madrid. We also hit the post twice and Haaland and Doku missed very presentable chances. Arsenal were very passive in the 2H until we scored - clearly playing for a draw despite Arteta's bellicose claims otherwise. Sorry mate, it was tight at the end but the better team won.
Several posts have already shown comments from PiGMOL/VAR suggesting it wasn't excessive. Can someone explain to me why VAR didn't look at the Gabriel headbutt? I thought VAR could get ref to look at potential red card offences. Having said that, Come on City!
Episode 142 of this is really good…![]()
Advantage City...
But let's not forget his error. Everyone today seems determined to make sure we don't.Donna made key saves to make up for the error, he’s been instrumental in our improvement from last season
Complete revisionist history. VVD was a **** on steroids. And whatever you think about Arse fans, they have never bricked our bus (not once but twice) or injured little girls by throwing pots of money. And not murdered any other fans for that matter. Let's not rose tint the bucket of shit that the scousers were and are just cos we are nostalgic about the pastGabriel should have been red carded. He's the new Van Dyke, like Teflon.
Tbf to VVD, he was never that much of a cnut in comparison to this Sly Turkey teethed tosser.
Not jumping on you but you didn’t deserve a point.Congratulations. I didn't think we played badly and I think deserved a point but it is what it is. Silva immense for City.
