Can someone explain to me why VAR didn't look at the Gabriel headbutt? I thought VAR could get ref to look at potential red card offences. Having said that, Come on City!

Several posts have already shown comments from PiGMOL/VAR suggesting it wasn't excessive.

Its the consistency really, its not a red in my world but it is going off what refs have done previously. The ref should have given a red card if he was doing his job properly.

I don’t like him but Van Dijk was twice the player of Gabriel and half as snide.

VvD consistently got away with murder. The reason people didn’t dribble past him is because he just fouled them all the time.

Arsenal played very well, but some big refereeing decisions went your way. Gabriel should have been sent off at least for two yellows, if not with a direct red card due to a clear headbutt attempt.
