Bernie - build his statue now!

NOR - Player of the season!

Cherki - magician mark 2 (with attitude)

Proud Proud Proud!

The boys in blue never give in!
I honestly think that beef jerki is peps pet project of Messi..

Never gonna be as great but who else is around with kind of the same skill set and balls to try the unknown..

Lot to come from this group of players which is why I think pep will be around for a few more years yet..

He wants to build around him and Nico..

Both different gravy..
Pep sees it.

I don't think they played that well.

We started poorly and their press caught us off guard. That was good from them, but by the time the goal came we'd started getting sustained attacks.

If Donna doesn't gift them the goal a minute after we score I think this goes the same way of the cup final, Liverpool and Chelsea games. It killed all the atmosphere in the ground and the team looked dejected for about 20 minutes.

I've seen a lot of Arsenal fans talk about thir close chances, but we hit the post twice and should have scored a couple more too. Semenyo had a bad game, Doku was very hit and miss, Rodri took a while to get going and Gabriel should have been sent off twice.

I think it was 70% us playing below the level we've shown over the last month and 30% them playing better than they have been.

If you go through Arsenal's XI who played really well? Raya was dodgy under corners, almost did the same as Donnarumma early on, Mosquera was bad, Saliba was solid but quiet, Gabriel should have been sent off, Hincapie did much better than the cup final but again, Semenyo was poor. Rice and Zubimendi didn't do anything except defend and break up play, Madueke was crap.

Odegaard was good, Eze was good and Havertz was good. That's it.

Yeah I agree. I think the only surprise was a bit more intent from Arsenal but really it was the same as the league cup final but with Odegaard in their side and helping them play out and lead the press more effectively.

To get ahead but concede so soon and so poorly was a real blow. So many of this side are inexperienced in this situation so naturally we were a bit sloppy. But we pulled through it and took the three points.

Whether we win the title or not, contrast today to our performance at the Emirates earlier this season. Pep has yet again transformed this team.

Not long been back from the match and watching a recording of the match…..only up to the first 20 minutes and hadn’t noticed at the match….but surely that was a penalty by Gabriel….he leaned into the ball !

However where were all the replays of the incident ?

Neville’s reaction says it all, after the Arsenal goal…..‘this is what we want’.

He was absolutely desperate for an Arsenal win.

Incredibly, there are still some idiots on here who think he’s alright

Haaland won his personal battle today. Donnarumma, Guehi, Rodri, Haaland are quite a spine.

We've been spoiled haven't we. How on earth can you ever replace players like Bernardo? Let's just enjoy his unique skills while we can. A complete joy.
We'll get over him though it'll be hard. I remember in my Etihad days watching him earlier on in his career..
I just thought Duracell bunny. Never seen a player cover so much ground in 90 minutes. He never seemed to have a position..he was just everywhere
To give you some comfort the same question was asked about David Silva and how we'd replace him but we've survived.

Great win. Great determination to get the result. Very even game and could have gone either way but we had the quality in front of goal.

Some top performances. Bernado shading O’Reilly for MOTM for me.

Still 50/50 for me. Our games are much harder and we have one more to win.
Does everybody think Arsenal are going to win their last five matches? Seems highly unlikely to me.

They played with a lot more energy than in the last weeks. We played well, but they defended better than Liverpool and Chelsea and got some favorable decisions.

Donna's mistake made the game look more even but wouldn't say we didn't deserve to win ultimately.

If they play like that vs Atletico, I think they'll reach the final and make it hard for Bayern/PSG, especially if Saka and Timber are available.

That said, they may find it more difficult in the PL, because narrow wins may not be enough and they will have to take risks...

I didn't have a mare, you've misinterpreted it. I was referring to people who were slagging our players off that shouldn't now be coming on here pretending they're happy and were backing us all the time. People who constantly say Pep should go, Haaland should be dropped(despite still being top scorer), keeper getting crucified for one mistake despite keeping us in the game and setting up the winning goal with his long throw out. As you rightly said I mentioned (at half time) that Semenyo was awful, I wasn't slagging off players like other idiots were. There's a world of difference between saying players were awful, as in not performing well, and slagging them off every time they make a mistake.
Its not interesting enough to keep going round in circles the ones that annoy you press the ignore button. People are free to post as they like as long as they dont break the forum rules.
Fans overreact whether on a forum, at the ground or in the pub, its really not that important. Have a good evening, I will.

Tremendous game today, a real tussle. I thought City were fantastic in their effort, but like Stamford Bridge, had a few sloppy moments with the ball in the first half. But the Boys in Blue never gave in (cheers Eccles).

Rodri grew and Oreilly impressed but Silva takes the match gong. Haaland was great too. Semenyo wasn't his best but his physicality kept him on as long as he did. Cherki is a creative genius but faded from the game quite badly. Im skirting over Donna , i don't understand him.

I want Doku to release the ball earlier when he drifts inside into congested central areas, he seems to want to hold onto to it far too long in the middle.

Arsenal were better than I expected, I honestly thought they'd come for nil nil. They hit the post twice like us and that header at the end, my god, that should have been in really. I don't think they deserved a point but the game was quite well fought. Gabriel is a right twat and that butt is a red all day long, crazy decision.

Final word on Havertz: what a melt.

Yeah the one right at the start when Gabriel deflected it onto the post with his arm.

My fear for us now is that in a shootout for GD City have more firepower than us so that'll be hard - we will need to batter a team I think.
It's not a shootout for goal difference pal.

Your current form is awful and you have a Champions League Semi-Final sandwiched right in the middle of the Premier League fixtures at a time where you look extremely vulnerable.

I'd wager that you'll drop points in 2 of your last 5 games in the Premier League.
