Arsenal (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

Give over. It's a bit of banter. If we fuck up, it won't be down to one bloke with a bottle. Football had become too sterile as it is.
Banter is fine after you win silverware, title or cups ? When it's still game on with 5 or 6 games to play you don't think Arsenal could use that as motivation ? Joe Royal and City used that crying City fan at Stoke as motivation

Look, anybody can have a laugh and a joke, but being a fool is tempting fate ? Do we really want to turn into AFTV

Can't help but feel had we not conceded that ridiculous goal straight after we scored, we'd have gone on to spank them yesterday. That stupid goal still rankles, gave them a way back in to a match when our goal had looked like being another devastating blow.
Can't believe either that Gabriel's yellow was only his 4th yellow card of the season....he seems to get treated leniently.
GK made couple of good saves 2nd half and his throw out to NOR led to our winner, partly redeeming himself.
Semenyo was not good, awful ball control, has scored a fair few but his overall play is a bit worrying.
All the rest superb....Silva, Guehi is a good passer of the ball and better than Dias, Haaland battled away with that thug, Cherki immense in the 1st half
Still a long way to go and some very tricky games ahead.

I know where you're coming from. However that fella with the bottle is having a great time and if it comes back to bite him on the arse I'm sure he'll take it.

I think if that was the other way round yesterday we'd have had a dig at Arsenal for going way over the top with 5/6 games to go. I'm not comfortable with all the 'bottle job' nonsense as we've got a tough run in.

That said I'm an old **** and a lot of our younger fans have only ever seen us go on these runs and win. Maybe they'd say I'm just a moaning old ****. More than happy to keep my powder dry until the last ball is kicked.

That said, what a fucking game that was yesterday. Sky must have loved it after the pre match billing.

Give Bernardo 1 billion pounds to stay, absolute legend.

God that was close. Too close.

Haha arsenal bottle boy is back on TV.
Always interesting when you hear ex pros talking about him.

He's said exactly that , "just a bit of fun , if it bites me on the arse I'll take it " on cheesys blog

Watched the game back and was almost as tense watching it again as I was at the Etihad. Funny game. We played the better football but they tried to disrupt the press we used to great affect at Wembley by playing it long from the back which meant that lots of the game was contesting second balls. We were a lot braver on the ball than them and Rodri and Bernie dominated Rice and Zubimendi.
Lots of comments about how great a game it was and not enough about the key officiating moments. The constant fouling of Haaland. The Gabriel handball. Some of the less obvious decisions that always seemed to favour Arsenal. Still, great to be at the game and see the win.

Not sure what it is (I'm sure he gives up his seat on the bus to little old ladies, is kind to animals, donates to "charidee" and goes to church every sunday), but there's something about him that gets to me. Maybe because he looks like Captain Pugwash?
;-)

His points total must be stratospheric, as he never seems to have any trouble getting tickets for big games.

I’ve just watched MotD, and as others have said, shrek is as bitter as they come.

"I think the City celebrations at the end were a bit premature and OTT."

"IF Arsenal win all their games, they have a great chance."

Clutching at straws.

Fuck off, you bitter, fat, thick, Scouse, granny-shagging twat!

Whilst it wasn't good for the nerves I actually really enjoyed how we battled back after an absolute howler. It could have been really easy for us to feel sorry for ourselves and get sucker punched again but we regained our composure and battled back.

To win titles you need big moments and to overcome adversity, I feel like yesterday we managed that really well.
