Win in the game in hand at home to villa and we are 2nd outright on goal difference three points behind Everton who will not win it. Acceptable start to the season despite the Leicester result.

Apart from the occasional blip, a very composed an good performance against a difficult Arsenal that have done very well under Arteta.

Dias and Ake really good. Early days, but looks like Ruben could be the leader we have missed after Vinnie.

Impressed with Ake at left back. When we have Dias and Laporte in the middle and Walker at right back, that has the makings of a very decent defence.

A good solid defensive performance which was very much needed today as Arsenal were a threat. I think Pep recognised that in the first half and in the second we had to sacrifice attacking flair for grit and determination. Two excellent saves from Ederson. Decent side Arsenal so good win that. We aren’t at our best yet so grinding out wins is all important.

Ruben Dias outstanding. Ditto Kyle. Eddie's kicking poor but great saves. Ake great again. Cancelo very poor apart from that one run 2nd half. Rodri got through a lot of work. Bernardo ace. Phil was everywhere, as was Raz. Aguero needs time.
