Just looking at our team line up for this game last year:

Bravo

Zabba
Clichy
Kolarov
Otamendi

Sane
Fernando
Yaya
D.Silva
De Bruyne

Sterling

Not being funny but that isn't a great line up and we still won 2-1.

Arsenals team was basically the same team you would expect Sunday except Lacazette will come in.

That’s an horrible team. No wonder why we won fuck all last season.

Arrogance

"Having or revealing an exaggerated sense of one's own importance or abilities."

We are setting Premier League records, we're 22 games unbeaten, we've won 14 on the bounce. We are turning up every week and seeing one of the best performing sides in Premier League history - these are all facts.

Arsenal are poor. They're only just staggering out of another crisis by virtue of some easy fixtures. They have one of the worst records in the league away to the top 6.

It's not arrogance to expect 1 team doing incredibly well to beat a team struggling. Expecting a 5,6,7-0 and being surprised if it didn't happen would be arrogance. Expecting a win is not in itself arrogant, even expecting a comfortable win isn't.
I did not suggest expecting a win was arrogance. I obviously was referencing the "we will batter them" sentiment.

So it seems you agree.

“I'd farking love it if we beat them, farking love it.

There's no team I want to beat more than this lot, at this moment they're the team I despise the most.”

This peach off Arsenal Mania haha

I don't think that predicting a battering is arrogance, I think we might well slaughter them if Wenger gets things wrong. They give away possession far, far too often, they have no defensive structure, they aren't good enough at pressing to trouble us now because they only do it 4x a season. They have 1 good defender and Cech is over the hill too and not likely to sweep up and clean up his defence's mistakes.

It could be tight if they pull out one of those few good performances a year they have, but it could also be a pasting if the other Arsenal shows up.

If I was 100% expecting a massive win and couldn't see it going any othee way it would be, but I don't think that's what people are saying.

I hope we have recovered legs from the Napoli game, Arsenal always show up against us and they are hurting at the moment, I wouldn't be surprised if they treat it like a cup final... but if we are at it, we still win.

He hates us more than Spurs, Chelsea and West Ham? Not having that

Arsene Wenger: "When we go there (City), we want to defend well but you cannot go there and only be focused on just defending."

Arsene Wenger: "We want as well to play, have the ball and create dangerous situations. The best way to defend sometimes is to attack."

Wenger: "Is it a bigger risk only to defend than to attack if a team is very strong in attack? Maybe it is a bigger risk only to defend."

Wenger telling some porkies his team will park the bus kick us(get away with it as Oliver is referee) and hoof the ball down the flanks for Sanchez to do his magic.

Go head to head with us and they’ll only going to be one outcome.

I am only worried about two things, firstly whether we show any sign of fatigue, especially Stones, Otamendi, Fernandinho and KdB who have been vital in recent weeks. Secondly whether Oliver will allow Arsenal kick lumps out of us as Pawson did at Wembley. I think Oliver is a pathetically weak referee who bottles every major decision that could go our way but for some reason has no issue making the hard calls against us.

We played midweek, they didn't. That's the real equalizer everyone seems to ignore.

At least 10 of the players who played midweek will start over tmrw. Only Walker would be fresh. Silva and Jesus ( of he starts) didn't play long enough so they too o will be fresh. But everyone else will be a small step slower.

That alone will make it tougher.

I think we will win. Them again, I always think we will win. But I'd rather be surprised by a battering than expect it.

This is Wenger's Arsenal I don't expect to batter them but if we did a surprise? Hardly, they are a schizophrenic team who can be tough to beat in one game and completely flaky the next.
