I plumped for Silva as soon as I came out of the ground but now I am at home and looking back at it I could easily have gone for Gvardiol.
Silva provided a bit of energy and spark that I felt was lacking from any of the other midfielders or forwards.
Rodri was his usual sturdy self.
Gvardiol coped well with all the defensive manoeuvrings that went on after Ake went off, made a fantastic tackle to stop what would have been a certain shot on goal and was also helpful in our forward play, such as it was at times.

First Anfield and now today, not sure KDB has the legs for these top top games anymore

That was the really sad aspect about this game. I hope he still has at least one more grade A season left in him but yesterday he would have had more of an impact sat in the North Stand. The game in general like others this season had the feel of an end of an era about it.
