Arsenal - Post match thread

Some of these comments are way ott, probably from non match going fans, rags and wums.

Wrong line up and our best attacking/creative midfielder pushed out wide, followed by the wrong substitutions. Pretty much sums up Pellegrini for the last two seasons. I won't miss him.
The worst of it is we might be in the Europa next season. A shite competition with a ridiculous amount of games and a good proportion of them at the arse end of Europe. I hope Pep is worth the year we've wasted waiting for him.

That can't be right surely. Khaldoon says that MP leaves the club stronger than when he arrived. If Khaldoon believes stronger as being in the Champions League when he arrived and most likely not being when he leaves - he's bang on.

Khaldoon must be on fucking crack then, to hold the opinion we're better after Pellegrini.

It was a game that i thought went well for much of the 90 mins, unfortunately the suicide style of defending has cost city on two small occasions...just so happens those chances were taken.

Fern and fern actually both had a GREAT games, otamendi was decent for the most part too. I think though a combination of tiring at the end(pellegrini waited about 5-10 mins too long to bring on fresh legs), and small instances of lunge, high line, suicide defending cost the team.

Overall unfortunate i think, that kelechi chance where he went for goal with a player either side has ended up being a big miss. I really dont think its over though, west ham have been great this season, and that game will obviously be pressure equal to todays.

Out of curiosity is nasri injured again? thought the game was crying out for him at the latter stages...

It's horrible to think that the repercussions of a few games like Southampton and Newcastle could be the difference between us getting world class players like pogba and not. Pellegrini has well and truly shafted us

Any goodwill I had to MP and benefit of the doubt just went out of the window. He had it in the palm of his hand and threw it away! From 30 mins in I was tweeting that the obvious change was Sterling on for Nacho so that KDB could go central and if I could see it, I bet every other City fan could see it too. He dithered and dithered and by the time he made the change, they’d equalized! It was fucking obvious what had to be done and he waited too long to do it!!! And then you think, okay, change made, we’ll kick on from here … and he brings on Yaya and Bony on and goes back to 442, only now its infinitely more plodding. Four months ago, the idea that Van Gaal and that fucking clown car of a team could take our ECL spot was preposterous. Great first season, poor second and woeful third … sorry to say it but I’m glad to see the back of him.
