Arsenal Post Match Thread.

Where would everyone rank this performance among the rest of the season?

For me it's second only to the United 2-1.

No point getting upset about it. People are entitled to their opinions, both naysayers and I told you so-ers. I believe some of the comments on here may well be aimed at me; so be it. I was very disappointed in the showing in the first half, and said so at half time. The team and the fans seemed very flat, almost like each was waiting for the other to fire them up. I said at the break that I couldn't see where a goal was coming from, based on the first half performance. Some on here have taken great umbrage at those comments of me (and others). Fine; they're free to voice their opinions. I wish to apologise to anyone who was upset by those comments. Not for the comments per se, but the fact that they seem to have got some people's backs up.
No. My comments aren't remotely aimed st the likes of you or Karen. You're about whatever the result. There's a good few dozen that only post one way though.

Our unpredictable form has brought back that old feeling of really enjoying a victory and not taking anything for granted... guess I should be pleased

had a great day. i won two corporate tickets in a competition. i sat in colin bell stand level 2. we were fantastic in the second half, fighting for every ball. Great win !!

They nay sayers lurk in the prematch and match threads, doing nothing but slag just about everything the club is doing, most players, the manager, Txixi, shocked the kitmen dont come in for more abuse, then disappear like a fart in the wind if we win. Total shithouses at best, rags at worst, the lot of them.
wankers, the lot of 'em.

Took more than 1 year to finaly beat a top4 team still more to do
And need to buy 1 or 2 players in january

That's odd, pretty much everyone else on here seem to think the first half was dire.
It certainly wasn't dire!
I think it's really hard (even for experts) to get past the scoreline when shaping a narrative. Since we 'lost' the first half 1-0, it's easy to see everything in a negative light. Similarly with the Leicester game - how can we not have been totally shite when we were 4-0 down pretty close to the end? But if we could watch games with the goals edited out, and without the influence of the media, I think we might have a very different opinion of the performance. I think this is part of Pep's frustration at the moment - he's better than most at accurately assessing the games, but he has to constantly answer questions from people who are almost entirely unable to see past the results.
