Arsenal Post Match Thread.

How many times have we heard that on here these past few months? Far too many! Even more annoying when the little David fella next to him is doing absolutely fuck all as well.
My biggest moan is playing both together. Atleast silva didn't give away cheap balls and nicked few balls from them.

Feel like we dropped two points against an Arsenal side that didn't really make life difficult for us.

Far too many sloppy passes ensured we made life more difficult than it should have been and a draw was all we deserved today. It was as if we could move up a gear, if only we could be arsed. 70% effort wins you cock-all in the PL.

roll on the transfer window all i can say after that. we score and sit back, give ball away, piss poor against a piss poor opponent, 2 dropped points imo

We all know we need new defenders as Clichy and Otamendi fuck up time and time again.

However we also need centre midfielders and again Fernandinho and Yaya fail to grab the game by the scruff of its neck and force a win - in other words we have no leaders in midfield.

We have no leaders at all on the pitch. The fact they keep rotating the captains armband is farcical.

Until we resolve this it will be dejavu

our all round game didnt merit a win......and the decision for the penalty/non penalty was right....the player didnt even know where the ball was....

fans need to look at the reality of that performance and call it what it was...dreadful and sloppy....arsenal were there for the taking and we let them get a draw.....we dont deserve anything this season
Fuck off with that shit. No idea why some of our fans seem to have this deluded belief that if we don't play at our absolute best, we shouldn't get fair refereeing. Winning the title is all about winning when you're not at your best and that's when one refereeing decision is likely to make the biggest impact. Today the referee has failed to give them 3 red cards and denied us a stonewall last minute penalty, he has robbed us, again. Every big game this is the balance of the refereeing and it's fucking infuriating

Spot on we sound like scousers on here blaming something else all the time. Navas appealing for a penalty at the end sums it up.The knob failed to deliver a ball in and starts moaning about handball -pillock. If you are good enough you overcome things not whinge-
Navas put in better crosses than de bruyne

Stupid defending again,we had that game
I would have taken a draw though
4th

Well I think it's clear some players need to move on. Sterling needs more work and an engine of a midfield player to help out KDB. Too many talking points about City's game. Alas, it feels like it's the same song on loop we've been listening to.

I think it helped us take back control but we didn't create enough. First half we were only good for 15 mins.

I thought it was a very shoddy performance from us all round and no players stood out as having a blinder.

A lot of 6/10 performances today.

Toure's finished. Shouldn't be anywhere near a Top 6 game.

Slows the play down and make us predictable.

Garbage application from the team & poor from Guardiola & fuck off Marnier you fake tan twat.

I don't disagree with you in terms of performance, but I do with the penalty decision. His arm is away from his body and it affects the trajectory of the ball.....nailed on penalty. We have players who know they are on their way, add this to players who just aren't up to it and we struggle.

Marriner bottled that at the end. Almost every big game there's been a decision gone against us at a point where it would have had a clear impact on the game. Getting beyond a joke now. That aside, felt like we could have won that game.
Kun took his goal well but again missed two fairly easy chances. De Bruyne is David Beckham without the work rate or desire to win. The assist for Sane's goal was sublime but he was poor. Navas should never be anywhere near our team although don't fault him much today. Zero goals in 100 games is shocking.

Yaya looked like he was running on concrete in rugby studs. Fernandinho is fairly brainless although clearly capable of moments that convince us he's brilliant. Sane was great again. Silva was decent. Stones was good. Otamendi and Clichy were a joke. Willy is too small. Cortouis or De Gea or any other bigger keeper probably saves both goals. And that sums our season up. Conceding goals that would be saved by most top level keepers, missing chances that Emile Heskey would slot away and decisions going against us like the referees have had a bet on.

No player made more tackles (7) than makeshift right-back Navas today, and he also made 2 key passes (only Silva managed more for City).

It was deliberate handball, dont talk shit.

sorry but you are simply wrong....it was nothing like deliberate....the one where wellbeck pushed it through with his hand was deliberate and there is a very good arguement that Cocelan should have been sent off for that challenge on the break (second bookable offense) but there was nothign delibetate int he hand ball..the player is spinning round o see where the ball is...when you do that your arm coumes out to balance and it has brushed his arm...completely accidental

go on believing we derserved something out of that game and you will fail to see why we didnt get anything out of it....we were shocking and sloppy......so many passes not hitting their targets.....shit defending (which nearly also lost us thw game with ottomendi- not for the first time this season)......

Not ruthless enough.

Marriner made sure the result was the desired one.
