No no no! You've got it all wrong about blaming all these injuries on Arsenal. Some of my friends on Untold Arsenal are completely and utterly convinced that the reason they have more injuries than most other clubs is because they don't receive the same protection from referees which in turn gives opposing clubs free reign to kick Arsenal's players up and down the park. They have a theory that Debuchy's recent injury against us was a result of Milner persistently fouling him which weakened his ankle sufficiently enough to make him more susceptible to suffering the injury when he did and the same goes for all their other injured players that get injured too. They reckon Ozil's latest injury is the fault of clubs that employ rotational fouling techniques and it can't possibly be anything to do with their own methods.
Oh, shit, that is one of the dumbest things I've ever heard. Probably the same people who rate Koscielny above Kompany.

Hilarious. Even the comments on the bottom where people are actually agreeing with this madman.

It's more to do with Arsenal neglecting the correct rehab process, thus leading to physical and mental fatigue.

Physical results of this include a build up of lactic acid, reducing the 'strength' of muscles, ligaments and cartilage, making players more susceptible to injury.

The 'mental' side of this fatigue includes a reduced coordination and reaction abilities, along with a slowing of the motor neurone system, making 'out of control' bodily movements more likely, and, again, increasing the propensity for injury.

I don't think the article is wholly without merit, but it is a very naive view. It supposes every team systematically target Arsenal players to an eventual breaking point, but Arsenal don't have the same effect on other players, and other teams don't foul other teams.

This is ludicrous. If Arsenal players suffer more serious injuries than any other team, then they must have something wrong elsewhere in their system. Maybe it is the recovery time allowed to injured players. Maybe their on-field medics should take a more pro-active response and bring off players who have been clattered to avoid subsequent more serious injuries. If they let Walcott continue after a heavy foul and that contributed to his ACL injury, then they only have themselves to blame.

The Arsenal like the Dortmund injury crisis is not just due to bad luck. it has to be something wrong with their training. Losing Ozil for 3 months is a blow, but the question has to be why did Wenger not take him off early. Well it may be a blessing in disguise, because the injuries may unclutter Wenger's mind. Even with all the criticism and his poor performances I would rather Ozil was available if I was an Arsenal fan.

Spot on. Wenger's injury record is truly awful. Grounds enough to sack him for negligence.

I thought Pikku was fishing, wasn't Ozil away on international duty when this happened?

Doesn't mean you're wrong though, surely Arsenal's bad injury record cn't be coincidence.
Why must i mate? He was away with Germany i ageee, but it was reported that he was already feeling some discomfort in his knee before the Chelsea game itself, surely the club has to take some responsibility for that?On top of that wenger playing him out of position, despite Ozil himself stating that he is not comfortable playing in the LW,one has to wonder whether wenger is really out of his mind, eventhough lot of people dislike Mou,he never did that to Ozil, played him where he is best suited, wenger is an idiot...

Sorry, didn't realise he already had the knock so assumed you were pinning it on poor old Arsene knowing he would get abuse on here anyway. Definitely agree something fishy with Arsenal's injury record. Oh, and Wenger is a knob.

Arsenal's poor injury record can blatantly be attributed to Arab Money, City and our cheating ways of course.

That's only 90% of the injuries, the other 10% are due to referees, Mourinho and Adebayor.
