Thought we were excellent yesterday, playing really good football right now. Damage done in the first leg though.
Good luck to city tonight, hope they can somehow set up another frantic finish and give themselves a chance.

We "should" be holding you at arms length really but your starting to click and we keep spluttering.
If we keep you at bay then that means we at least have second., i can't mind you lot so much this season as you are helping keep utd's head under water.

Just need Liverpool to do the business now that spurs got their belly tickled.

You were really good.

I thought Monaco were overly defensive and helped you in that they dropped way too deep in the last 30 mins.

Your possession football was outstanding. It was like watching City.

As you say down to the 1st leg. More comparisons to City....unprofessional and complacent in the 1st leg.

I'll probably get stick for this but right now, Arsenal are the best team in the League by some distance.

Thing is I would be well pissed off if I was an Arsenal fan as Monaco are shit and should have been beaten in the home leg.

If we do the same against Barca I will be well chuffed but still a little peeved that we couldn't beat Burnley etc!!!

Still plagued by the same weaknesses as in previous seasons (see the defensive horror show in the first leg, which ultimately cost them), but they're looking impressive going forward. Their movement up front is very good, and they benefited last night from playing two technically excellent players in the centre of midfield (Cazorla and Ozil) who were regularly able to get the ball into the forward players quickly and accurately.

In terms of the speed at which they move the ball, and the quality of their movement upfront, they're some considerable way ahead of us at the moment.

Ozil got caught partying again. I think Arsenal fans and Wenger especially needs to stop defending him and stop playing him. He had a decent/good start to the Premier League considering: how late he joined, adaptation to new league, worse players etc. However, even then he was expected to kick on. Ozil's performances are woeful compared to what they used to be. He should be at least as good as Silva, but is no where near. I don't think Wenger is the right manager for him going by what the Middlesborough manager said. He needs someone like Van Gaal, Mancini or mourinho, because he refuses to take responsibility for himself. I think it would be for the best for all parties if he left in the summer.

Coquelin should be nominated for young player of the year.

He's made an unbelievable difference to the Arsenal team. Arsenal have always had good players, but lacked the right balance. Coquelin has provided that.

Ozil's performances on the whole, this season have actually been pretty good, considering the injury.

Creative midfielders this season have been up and downy with none being consistent all season. Fabregas has gone missing as the clocks go forward, Silva has been less 'Merlin-like', Tadic new to the league and injury problems,Eriksen inconsistent and same for Coutinho. Carzola has probably been the most consistent of an inconsistent bunch.

To describe Ozil this season as woeful is a bit lazy. Watch him for 90mins of a game. His movement, his influence and work rate have been good this season, when he has actually played.

I agree with the Coquelin nomination,he only came back from Charlton in December and the results since then have been very good.

The player of the year by a mile is Hazard. No one else comes close. It should go to the most influential player in a trophy winning team, not the favourite journos England player. Kane is the best YOUNG player. Leave it at that.

Agree about Ozil.

He's ridiculously intelligent on the pitch and creates space for himself and his teammates so easily.

Ozil is the type of player who, on first viewing, you might not think does very much. But when you break the game down and analyse it, you realise he is very influential and his movement can be genius. Like Silva in a lot of ways actually.
