Skelly was careless. He ended up on the wrong side of Harrison, and maybe panicked. It probably was a bit soft but, as you said, VAR was unlikely to overrule the referee.

I'm happy with the point. Winning was irrelevant as we're not overtaking the Dippers and so ensuring a CL spot is important and Everton away can be tricky. No new injuries as well.

Madrid looked fucking dreadful against Valencia today btw so there shouldn't be fear factor for the team vs them

It just highlights the total inconsistency (I am being kind by calling it that) in officials. Dipper England, cannot see fouls for us v Leicester and ignores Savinho having his shirt and shorts almost pulled off for a clear penalty but a few days later gives that against Arsenal.
