I know we'd be effectively be doing liverpool a favour but wouldn't it be hilarious if we beat them at the Emirates? Watching there fans spit venom and foaming from the mouth after the match if we did it would be quite amusing in itself.

Ornstein said Arteta would stay as is however given the fact Saka could be out for the whole season, Jesus looks like he has a nasty injury, Nwaneri out etc etc if he doesn't get some attacking players in we aren't in a battle for the title we're in a battle for top 4.

So I reckon we'll get someone in - it won't be Isak though. I get a hunch we might try and get in Osimhen.

What I can't understand is why Arteta sold Emile Smith Rowe and then bought Merino. This is on him. It was clear for ages that Havertz is a 10 not a 9 - with a proper finisher up front we'd be a far more impactful team.

I'm not gutted in so far as I didn't think the FA Cup was a priority but I was frustrated at just how atrocious our finishing is. Havertz is a good player but he's a 10 not a 9. Trossard wants out of the club and that shows on the pitch - no desire there. And losing to United always sucks. What's most annoying is it appears patently obvious what we are missing - that clinical striker up front. So why we've bought endless numbers of DCMs and wing backs is beyond me. Plus we have a rumoured £200m transfer kitty but seem reluctant to use it unless it's that perfect Arteta combo of someone who hasn't got an ego and can play in 3 positions. How about someone who can stick the ball in the net - that's what we need!

We play Liverpool at home a couple of games later, so why don't we just beat them both, and keep things fair?

Fuck Liverpool, they’re unimportant. I want to finish above Arsenal this season.

If this was a title race and we were 6 points behind Arsenal, we’d be confident of winning the title. Therefore, we should be confident about finishing above them in second place this season.
