Ah, the good old Gooner squad, doing their best to prove that the phrase 'keyboard warrior' did not die out years ago.
Sad little men, social misfits with an inferiority complex: coming on a rival club's fan forum, proudly displaying the sort of bitterness and innate rancour usually associated with the dippers.
One of the finest strikers in the world tells a few home truths to a rival player, and suddenly that player's club and its fans come out all guns blazing. City are the Devil personified and Harland is gooner public enemy number one - until another opposition player dares to do a bit of verbal sparring that is.
Listen to yourselves, you arsehole fans. Just listen. You won a game of football, end of. You get the three points to add to the others you've accumulated over the course of this season, but nothing more. No medal, no trophy, no back-slapping from the footballing Gods, just an acceptance that on the day you were better than us, we walk off with our pride slightly bruised and you continue enjoying the euphoria of beating Manchester City: Yes, THE Manchester City, you know, four Premier titles in a row, Champions League winners, 100 points in one season etc etc. We do not have to prove ourselves to you or any other club in this fair land, everybody knows what we can do and what we've achieved.
For the present time we are saying: "Okay, Arteta. What have you got. Impress us."
As a club you have habitually failed your supporters: Arteta has led you up the aisle, developed cold-feet and jilted you. Taking this somewhat justified anger out on us is nothing. You are still empty, you still have a void that trying to rile opposing fans will not fill.
We have not been at the races this season: a harsh but unavoidable truth. But we've been there, done that, and have the trophies to show for it. Arsenal do not.
