If fans of clubs not in the cartel weren’t so fixated trying to get the book thrown at us
And possibly Newcastle geed on by the media and the red shirted shite then maybe they could see what’s really going on.

The American owned clubs want it to go the way it's going

He plays there for England because we have fuck all else in midfield. He would be in the 8 role if we had a 6. Arsenal had partey and jorginho for the 6 role, they didn't buy him to play there even if he did for west ham, they saw the potential and bought him to play the 8 as he does in the vast majority of games. Not exactly an unheard of thing, we've done it plenty of times.
I repeat, they bought a player who their whole professional career for club and country was as a 6. 100M for a number 6. He has proven for both club and country he is crap at doing that role, he is a good 8 but also remember last year, a narrative and a rivalry was being built between him and Rodri. He is a great example of a good Englishman being overhyped. He also never had the pressure of being called 100m Declan Rice like a certain player at our club.

BBC Live football feed has a damning analysis of Odegaard's game vs PSG. Just the one completed pass into the penalty area.

That means that Arsenal's attacking threat is very dependent on set-piece routines. Not entirely because they have Saka but as I was watching the game, I was thinking the only way Arsenal will score is through a set-piece.

The team selection, players and set up is geared to not losing rather than winning. Its the Arse mentality.

And we paid £88m for a centre back we've had at left back for 18 months. We paid £60m for a midfielder who is now pur right back. Just this January we paid £60+m for marmoush to be our backup striker to Haaland and he's playing left wing when Haaland is out.

Completely Irrelevant where they played previously, the talent was on display and arsenal very clearly saw him as their main 8 and that's where he predominately plays.

We did, and we are all raving at Gvardiol and his performances at centre half. Who would have thought it ey. By that comparison, if Gvardiol started playing CB and was shite, we would all be surprised considering that was his position and the position we scouted him and bought him. Rice was bought for 100m as a 6. Compared to Rodri and considered the missing link to get them over the line. He is crap as a 6 and they are no further forward than when he arrived.

He is a good 8, two free kicks which are highly out of character won't lead me to believe he is the best thing since sliced bread

I don't understand why you're so fixated on this "he was bought as a 6" line. It's irrelevant, he plays primarily as an 8 for them, they had the foresight to see his potential as an 8. He's better than just a good 8, he's a fantastic 8, their best player and should be a shoe in for team of the year. He would have shone here in that role, there's no harm in accepting players that don't play for us are also extremely good footballers.

I don't think that's true. They signed him as a 6, he played there with Havertz and Odegaard ahead of him initially. Arteta then saw it wasn't working so played Jorginho in the deeper role to allow Rice further licence to roam as an 8. They then bought Merino to come in and play that 6 role but he hasn't been effective either so Partey has mainly been used there and it looks like Zubimendi will be their next attempt at a number 6.

He wasn't signed as an 8 but has worked effectively in that position for them so it's still a worthwhile signing for them.

It's true as well though that he's not been under the pressure Grealish was with his price tag. Think how much we've won since Grealish arrived. You can't associate that success directly with his transfer, but we've made some significant revenue in that time. Rice hasn't elevated Arsenal beyond where they were before his arrival so I'm not sure the same is true.

They really missed Partey last night & should think about dropping Odegaard who was awful
