In fairness, his point about the requirements of winning the league varying year-to-year is true, albeit self-evident. Some very good sides have finished runners-up and some frankly barely above average ones have won the title

However, he must surely know by now that the soundbite that's going to get pulled is the weird jump he makes from there. Doesn't do himself any favours

that's becuase Liverpool have played 3 games less, He could end up with no premier league trophies in a couple of weeks

He's just getting in there early with the excuses because he knows the fickle cunts will turn on him in a heartbeat if they lose tonight.

I was talking to somebody about the Premier League he said that the league should be having a 1st/2nd/3rd award or trophy, then 4th 5th 6th 7th should play in a play off final to get the final champions spot as an award

Now I laughed and I shouldn't because he was right in claiming Manchester City claimed 2nd runners up and had it on the kits the season after

I usually support any english team over a foreign one until Utd get into the final and then i can't keep my patriotism in tact any further.

I get the Arse distaste but I like to think we are better than that tbh.

If i could have chosen a winner (except us) this year, it would have been Villa. I imagine this would also invoke rage amongst some City faithful.

Hmm.

We (and 5 others) are already in a pseudo play-off for the last spot, no?

One is an absolute bell end in fairness. Has no clue of the irony in his comments about City being a "cheating oil club".

Actually, i know 3 of em.

The other two are decent lads and pay up on time when we finish above them :)

(Thus i'm praying for 2nd play this season!)
 
Imagine if that **** was our manager.

I hope he's at Arsenal for as long as possible because they'll never win the Prem or CL with him in charge
