I agree it's a good point in a tough match. The narrative in the press and by so-called 'influencers' that we are on track for a quadruple, will win the league by a canter etc is all bollocks. It's a tough league to win - there's a reason we haven't done it for 22 years and you get ups and downs.A draw at Sunderland may turn out to be a good result come the end of the season but good to see them finally drop points, they very nearly won it though
People forget we got last second goals against Newcastle and City to win points and sometimes that happens against you too.
It also puts massive pressure on City and Liverpool today - this is a big chance to eat into the points deficit and whoever loses today will feel particularly sore. Whoever wins though will go into the international break with a big spring in their step. From a Gooner perspective probably a City win or a draw is better - Liverpool have an easier run of fixtures after today's game whereas Arsenal and City have some tricky away games on the horizon.
I still remain optimistic as a Gooner that we got a point today that we would not have got last season. Hopefully we get our injured players back (first time Saka's been doubled up on for ages - a clear consequence of Gyokeres being out and Merino not being able to occupy the defenders in the same way).
