Arsenal Thread | 2025/26

Just saw a headline on the Standard the Dinky Declan Rice is " in the conversation for the Ballon d'or!"

Those Belgians must have been fiendish good?? ;-/

Despite their win against Wolves, they've already shit the bed, no way will they mentally cope with another five months of games.

They are like those boxers who have 30-0 wins against nobodies and ageing greats, shout their mouth off about being the best and when they finally get the big fight against top opposition, they can't hack it.

They are the Joshua of the football world.

We are Usyk.

They really do have all the same hallmarks of the bottle jobs they've been in previous years. I did not watch a team tonight that I believe are champions in waiting.

I've been convinced that this has to be their year due to the weakness in competition but they still seem hell bent on making a royal c*nt of it.

If we still have that title winning spirit of old with then we really do just need to keep on their toes and watch them fall apart at the seams again by the time we get to the grown up point in the season.

Especially with us on their tails. The most important thing now is not drop too many stupid points.

I'm not sure we have one of those 18 game unbeaten runs in us but if we keep the gap within a few points by February, we will have enough to topple them.

They're still a very solid team and today got an unimpressive 3 points but it's still 3 points. So we have to stay on them.

I'm just catching up but they showed that in the action leading to the corner that scored Arse-in-holes first goal that Saka was very likely offsides

Are we not reviewing this or is it just that they don't when it benefits the team that it seems everyone in the nation are pulling for?

I am not a blue spec conspiracy theorist but how is this okay?

Fuck me. I was all ready to don my City shirt and hit my local where i know there are a ton of Arse supporters.

Congrats... you won vs one of the worst teams in PL recent history and needed 2 own goals one of them offsides in the build up to win.

The VAR policy is not to review incidents leading up to the main incident. We had a Martinelli worldy at Anfield ruled out 2-3 years ago because something happened a while before in the build up they said shouldn't have interfered with VAR

If VAR got involved in everything the game would be stopped every 2 minutes pretty much

I know. Just pissed i went from jubilation to tears in the matter of a few minutes. I love seeing Lego Head distraught.

They had 3 offside the other week all stood in the way of the keeper.
Not even a 2nd look from VAR.
Just a gloat from Neville "I'm so happy for Arsenal".
Honestly the bending of any rules to gain an advantage to the red shirts in the prem and then the brushing under the carpet of it by the red media is at an absolutely sickening level.
It just gets worse and worse season after season like a bad dream you can't wake from

The game stops for two minutes every time arse-anal get a set piece.

Not convinced we can, but if we do manage to apply pressure they will crumble, just need a run of form which I’m not totally sure we can muster… if we do though, it will be there for us…

That’s my take on the league as it stands. It depends on us.

Corners have never been reviewed by VAR
