You seem to be angling for an argument. I'll not give you one - at the end of the day it's just 22 blokes kicking a ball around a grass field. Far more important things to get worked up about. You want a cookie for that?
And with a quality striker you make a great point. However I have seen nothing to suggest that this guy is the answer. Every time he has come up against a half decent defence he has been anonymous. The thing with the striker is it's not just the threat of goals, but having to mark them ? It's the space when the centre-backs have to pick him up, it's just having a striker on the field that needs marking, Last season, the old Arsenal had no striker and few options and you sort of knew they can only play one way.
Now they have a striker they can play him on the back of the defender or just in the hole between the lines, even over the top with a long ball, all of that was missing from Arsenal and maybe was the reason they failed
They’ve not even played in a final in the last 5 seasons. The fact some of their supporters come on here and try to talk to us as though we are proper rivals is laughable. Such a delusional arrogant fanbaseArsenal for me have the best squad in the league! Think they may well win the league this season! That’s me be impartial opinion personally can’t stand Arteta and few of the Arsenal players, it’s his there arrogance which they have zero reason to have that, seeing these players has won no major trophies! Being a peacock when they really are an egg!
You've gotta love the Tarqs....

There are plenty of strikers in this league who are not mugs and can score goals. However you still need to have quality if you are to win the big trophies and this guy just doesn’t have it.true
But time will tell, like i said just having a striker in the team can change things for the other teams who have to defend him, He's no mug and can score goals so will need defending
I did detect a bit of a mentality shift in the match at SJP. When Merino scored, whilst he and some other Arsenal players ran celebrating towards the Arsenal fans, Saliba was quick to grab the ball off Pope and Rice was screaming at Merino to get back to the centre circle and hurry up the kick off. So for that game at least the mission was clear that they were going for the win. Some very very unlikeable players in that side. Gabriel and saliba are detestable. Arteta is a right plum.
Even saka comes across as a mard arse who whinges at everything.
Horrible set up there and the thuggish behaviour is subtle that stops them from getting reds so covers over the fact what they get away with.
Gutted we didn’t beat them the other week as they were there for the taking. It’s been spun that they mullered us but that’s not what I watched.
They are always on the edge and too emotional. I think they will implode as usual.

It seems Arsenal have the option now to play Odegaard and Eze as twin attacking playmakers together in matches where they need to break down a block and go for the win. I can't see Arteta starting with those 2 as he'd forgo the midfield control that the Rice-Zubimendi pivot gives, but when we need to 'go for it' it's a pretty handy option to have.
I'm not sure many other teams have that option with that quality of player (also could put Nwaneri in there as well to go full-Alamo) so if used wisely, over 38 matches that could make the difference.
I do think it's the leader's role to set the mindset and approach. If you come across as erratic and emotional then don't be surprised if your team follows your lead. Arteta definitely can improve in this respect. To be fair you have some decent players.
I like Declan rice. Seems a nice chap although not world class like a lot of your fanbase like to make out he is.
Your keeper is decent and you’re solid at the back. Not sure about your forward though.
Personally I think that your team comes across as quite thuggish but in a sly way. Little digs when off balance and just pushing the boundaries.
Maybe I’m still a bit bitter about the game last year but your mob definitely targeted Rodri . Again it wasn’t an outrageous challenge on livaremto but saliba knew what he was doing. There’s no apologies after or checking on him. It’s not something I like and to be honest after the way some of your past behaviour from your players when they have suffered injuries in the past I find it a bit rich.
Like i say you do have some very good players and are solid at the back. I just would like to see you concentrate on actually playing football rather than all the extras that seem to come from you lot.
And I’d love it if someone went sliding into arteta whilst he’s on the edge of his box.
Doesn’t that piss you all off. Would get right on my tits that. All a bit me me me.
Stuart Pearce used to do it and by all accounts the players hated it.
That's the thing, I don't think he can.I do think it's the leader's role to set the mindset and approach. If you come across as erratic and emotional then don't be surprised if your team follows your lead. Arteta definitely can improve in this respect.
Arteta is a narcissistic twat. It honestly baffles me how he has a group of players seemingly believing in his philosophy especially when they have spent the last 5 years watching all of their rivals (London ones as well) sweeping up silverware. That's the thing, I don't think he can.
Each player has one AirPod in and Arteta can direct all players individually throughout the game. The new tactic will be to fire Tomahawk missiles at the opposing keeper at corners, leaving Big Gabi alone to head the ball into an empty net. I've checked the rules and there's nothing there that says we can't do it so VAR will have to ignore it.
Re Declan Rice, he is an all round good egg and does a lot for charity. He's also made himself available to talk to Arsenal fans who are having suicidal thoughts - the idea being getting it off your chest and having someone listen to you can put off the suicidal thoughts in the darkest moment. To be fair you have some decent players.
