Arsenal Thread | 2025/26

My hope is that Odegaard remains fit as Captain Black is obsessed with him, to me Arsenal are a better team without him Zunimendi is also another who flatters to deceive The central defenders and Rice are the vital components Saka gets some vital goals but doesn't do enough
I still think Partey is going to be a huge miss for them. In my opinion he was their best midfielder and it fell apart when he wasn’t playing especially in big games.

Not this season. Have to win the league as we have the best overall squad. CL would be nice but it's also a bit of a lottery whereas the best team always wins the league.

If we don't win it serious questions need to be asked.
You have gone 5 years without having even played in a final. Serious questions must already be being asked.

I’m not sure you read any City fans or City backing media, that ever said Foden should be loaned out or sold.

You will have read umpteen articles/tweets (including the finest example of media stupidity - a large field to win against), that wanted Foden out (by any means) of City.

Each fanbase has its own knowledge about their own team, which generally far exceeds other fans.
And it far exceeds the vast majority of the media reporting, and the repeating of that by know-nowt fans.

Saying that, I’ve found that red cartel fans on the whole have serious gaps in the historical knowledge about their own clubs.

Eg United: 2x sugar daddy, gifted stadium, gifted stadium rebuild, gifted overhaul. Match fixing. Despicable treatment of the Munich victim families. Milking Munich - eg Cantona payouts, advertising. Bribery of young nonUnited footballers families to join. Referee and rules ‘oversight’ and corruption - eg THAT Arsenal game. Coronavirus PSR dispensation far in excess of all other PL clubs combined. Scruffy buyout costs PSR dispensation. PL rule waivers on stadium standards. No action on match postponement due to stadium invasion. No detailed info about ‘small breach’ of UEFA PSR. Signing letter to demand to get City thrown out, before CAS verdict.
Edit: just off the top of my head

Some of those also involve Arsenal & Liverpool… who both have a full list of dubious issues that their supporters seem to know little about.

Yeah, apologies I wasn't quite clear, it was outside people saying about Foden, not internal. Someone like Nwaneri will get similar treatment soon id imagine. The worry of course is teams like Chelsea offer these highly rated young lads a lot of money and the promise of more game time nowadays and they start to get impatient themselves.

Great post.

I’m so glad Merson is saying Arsenal will win the league, a bit like Ian Wright was saying Liverpool will win the league in 2019 when they were 4 points clear, how did that work out.

Funny doesn’t matter how many years go by without trophy the media never go after Arteta like they have with pep even though what he has won with us! Americans run our media

They simply never learn instead of simply congratulating each other applauding te fans and simply moving on to the next game they turn into a mass over the top party ................i remember beating you lot 5-1 ?????? Last season and yet again going way over the top and you know whats incoming they never learn .............as for the 5 years without winning nothing being ok :) West Ham and Tottenham have won more in that time
So have Crystal Palace

West Ham and Tottenham have won more in that time
Factually correct, and I'm sure that Arsenal would gladly take any silverware right now, but thinking of the West Ham Conference win - a contrived competition for upper mid-table teams.

I remember David Moyes saying "it's nice to win at this level", apparently oblivious to the fact that it's the same level, just different teams.

Great for morale and some good days out for the fans, but it didn't represent any sort of step up in terms of status or performance. Different pond, same size.

Best. Post. Ever.
