Arsenal Thread | 2025/26

I've just watched highlights of the Wolves - Arsenal game and I find it a bit weird that after the Wolves equalizer, I didn't see any Arsenal player hurrying to pick the ball out of the net for a quick restart. Says a lot about their mentality. The equalizer was in the 94th minute, so they still had 2+ minutes which is more than enough time to get a winner against the worst team in the League. I know Spurs are shit, but I won't be surprised if Arsenal drop more points against Spurs

Bridge01 if you come on here to read this as I have constantly pointed out to you in a title run in there are no easy matches.

You have constantly banged on comparing the difficulty of your fixtures with ours but at this stage of the season it doesn’t work like that.

They're crapping it thinking it's the old version of City chasing them down.if it was the title would be as good as ours now. It's not and we're just as likely to drop.points from winning positions just like we did at Spurs. The worrying thing for Arsenal is, as we keep on being told, that this is the best version of themselves for years. Yet....a team basically patched together, inconsistent and having lost world class players like De Bruyne, Gundogan, Walker etcetera are right on their tails. They might get this title over the line this season....but in the future?

I attempted to say the same to him too. Far too much forecasting of the results of the next 10 games and predicting which matches they really ned to be "on it" in. NOW is when matches are won, not in some expected possible utopian future. It's dripped down onto him with Arteta's "improvement stats" antics.

It is waaaay too early to be pointing and laughing, but they are certainly doing their best to make it interesting for us.

As everyone knows, the PL Title is now in our hands. Win and we win it. Drop points and Arsenal are back in control.

Time for men to step forward and take what it is they are willing to fight for.

Lastly, I have GREATLY appreciated Pro’s approach to the title. He has, and always is, consistent about the run in…put us in the mix at the end (last 5 or 6 games) and we will see. Until then, nobody knows anything unless someone has pulled away.

The season just got CONSIDERABLY more interesting and it has put an even greater emphasis on the Carabao Cup Final as a psychological tool!

COME ON CITY!

Yeah we know how just after 2/3 games things can change we have 12 games left it’s way too early to predict anything! All we know is history tells you Arsenal bottle it but this is a Man City team with a massive turnover of players in a transition and we not looked convincing all season! How can we be only 5 points behind a game in hand is Mad!

I’d say that’s an old fella you don’t want to be around when it finally goes off! A nice slow burn to start, but when he ignites…!
or he is a gobby fucker who would pavement dance and never take a swing, any fucker can rant and shout.

AFTV ain't serious fans anymore, their charactors making millions putting on a show

Like I've been saying all season to the clowns in the post-post-in particular, the REASON we don't push on and try to put 4 or 5 goals past everyone every week is because THIS is what happens when you do. You burn out.

When you're getting to the stage of the season when some of those clubs start to wake up and realise they have to scrap for every point and start and playing, it starts to get a little bit harder but you're knackered and you can't cope with it because you've gone hell for leather in every match so far. Then the wheels start to come off, the gap gets shorter, panic sets in and, well, here we go again.

It's exactly what they have done every season so far, and like those whingers in the post-match they still dont get it and they keep making the same mistake. You can't play at 100 miles an hour every match in 4 competitions and expect to keep it up for 50-60 matches. We've learned to pace it and they haven't, which is why Pep has pulled in an absurd trophy haul and why they have won nothing.
This exactly.

People were moaning about our second half performance against Fulham, when we were 3-0 up at the break.

Why go chasing more goals, when you are comfortably ahead, and have a hectic schedule coming up.

Yes, it’s great to score loads of goals, but it’s more important to view the bigger picture and pace ourselves for upcoming matches.

Their next 3 PL games
Spurs A
Chelsea H
Brighton A

Our next 3 PL games
Newcastle H
L***s A
Forest H

L***s, in the land that time forgot, won't be a stroll. Would you take 7 points from those 3 games?
