Arsenal Thread | 2025/26

Saw it again earlier. Rice was pissed off when the physio came on meaning Gabriel would have to go off.

I mean Tossard was staggering around as if Tyson Fury had just landed one on him.
The acting was phenomenal.

Time wasting wankers shot themselves in the foot.

He was taken off on the instructions of the medics. He was clearly concussed and IMHO it should have been a 2nd yellow for the Wolves player.
Hey mate, I’ve got this bridge in Brooklyn you might be interested in. I can get you a great price on it!

Fantastical reading of the situation…and that’s the kindest interpretation I can provide.

Not trying to be a 'wise-after-the-event' type but I have been saying this for some time now. It's almost choreographed the way they go down so dramatically. Trip one of them up and you'd think by his reaction that Norman Bates had nipped in when he was showering.
If officials don't crack down on this very soon other teams are going to lose it and start dishing out some justice of their own on the pitch.
The stunt at the corner where they argued with each other about who was taking the corner. Why can’t the refs stop this. It is just cheating, They can book people for ungentlemeny conduct.

Coupled with the multiple fouls on almost every corner, yet nothing being called except a goal, and they really are an unattractive proposition.

They appear SO desperate to win, they’ll resort to almost ANY tactic to get themselves over the line. It is dire to watch and smacks of an inferiority complex, yet when they’re winning they parade around (players and fans alike) like peacocks with a superiority complex! This all suggests a very thin veneer of potential achievement they project, while operating out of fear of falling short yet again.

Compare and contrast Tosshard's "concussion" with Khusanov's after taking a Donnarumma direct to his head.

One of them was all about trying to get back on the pitch to help his team out whilst it's being explained to him that 60secs ago he'd been out cold; the other fell over clutching his face (TWICE) after being pushing in the chest.
Exactly!

Khusanov begging for the cold sponge, while Trossard looking for the stretcher to the ambulance, so they could get the 6th sub approved!!

Cheating bar stewards!

I’m sorry but this just isn’t football. These parasites are absolutely destroying the game I used to love. If there is any justice in the football world these cretins will finish the season trophyless once again.

Just disgraceful

That is an aspect, it doesnt entirely negate the strength of the opposition.
It does a lot more than the first 3/4 of the season though. Depending on how it plays out wolves away in that period could be a tougher match than villa at home

If this is the best we can offer English football is done.

I’m sick of watching the wrestling at corners. It bores me to bits. FA need to sort it fast.
My dad suggested they go the way of hockey, defensive team on the goal line, attacking team on edge of 18 yard box, short corners wouldn’t be allowed.

Imagine being an Arsenal player knowing deep down you are good enough the players around you are good enough you could easily be going out and winning the majority of games ...........yet a so called decent coach sets you up to be negative and try to cheat in situations

Anytime the game is stopped for a player on the ground indicating an injury from which they cannot stand up, they should be removed from the field of play, regardless of whether they receive treatment or not.

I’m tired of teams kicking the ball out of play because one of their own is on the ground, then magically struggling to their feet when the ref asks if they need attention, wasting another 30 secs-1minute discussing why it should have been a foul, then having the opposition give them the ball back!

It’s a 2-3 minute stoppage that results in ZERO JEOPARDY for the cheating bastards who employ it, as the ref never seems to stop his watch for these events!

Long past time we should be doing the clock OFF THE PITCH, with a game clock controlled by a 5th official. If the ref stops the game for ANY non-footballing reason, that’s an automatic stopped clock, plus corners and goal kicks need to be a stopped clock, along with free kicks where the ref holds up his whistle.

While I’m on it, sideline towels need to be outlawed and throw ins need to be taken within X seconds, just like a goalkeeper in possession with the ball in his hands.

We need to start creating laws of the game that make the game better, remove the opportunities for cheating, and provide the “ball in play” football we are all paying handsomely to see.
