Arsenal Thread | 2025/26

I guess arsenal have gone back to being boring boring ars-en-al played under the manager who took bungs.
Im Just abit surprised its under a Spanish manage now playing boring boring ars-en-al style.

I dont like watching this style, would i be happy paying 3k season ticket to watch the ball mostly out of play ?
Would i be happy know the only way to score is to con a free kick or from a corner ?
Would i be happy watching the wrestling at corners ?
Would i be happy if all the above meant winning the league ?
Would i be bothered that the standard of the league has dropped ?

If City hadn't won the league for as long as arsenal i probably would !!

That break in the season came at a time when Liverpool had injuries mounting up, and we were starting to get into a rhythm. That respite allowed their players to rest up and return from injury, and if that hadn't happened, it seemed to me like we could catch them.

The goals scored and goal difference in the league are a more true representation of our season. Scored 102, difference was +67, compared to Liverpool's 85 scored and +52 difference. The very dubious officiating that season was enough to put off many a blue.
There was absolutely no way we were catching Liverpool that season - I think they were something like 20 points clear when the break occurred

Take the shithouse tactics away and it may be a different tale
It’s interesting how many posts I am seeing on different platforms, across many different fan groups, that are clearly calling out the cheating that they have been allowed to do this season - be it from corners or open play (the none sending off recently against Spurs). It’s also now being “commentated” on during games, most of it is tongue in cheek, but it’s now a topic. So will Pigmol start clamping down on the corners and obvious cheating or is it too late this season and they will let it go till next year? I think they might actually do something this season, but only once it’s clear they are going to win the league or they fall apart. I would also love someone to pull together a piece on how many points they have gained from these cheating tactics as I guess it’s at least 10. If they do win the league they would be the worst champions in a long while as the type of football they produce is workmanlike and horrible to watch

Anyone else think they might actually win the Treble or even Quadruple? They are the best team itw despite playing a disgraceful football but they're getting the job done. We might take one cup from them, they'll probably get the other. In PL we got robbed by the refs too much this season to the point I don't remember any season they went so rough on us ever so they are taking that too sadly. And in UCL, we, PSG, Madrid and Liverpool are far from our best, Bayern and Barca are a bit better but they concede pretty much every game while Arsenal, like I've said, always seem to get the job done so far this season. Any worries they'll actually do it or still convinced they won't?

I remember in 2021 when we did something which wasn't clearly defined in the rules, the English FA immediately changed it so that we can never do it again literally the next week. Arsenal's corner antics (stalling, blocking GK and wrestling with the players) hasn't been challenged by the big suits for months now despite everyone talking about it.
Red cartel-loving PL just can't stand us (and Chelsea) winning the league titles, can they? Hilarious.

I think the CL is doable. Unless Spursey show up against them. They have the tools to shithouse that tournament ala Mourinho with Inter.

Haven't they spent more than us? Helped by interest free loans from the owners? Who obviously are not related parties (sarcasm alert)

Net spend wise, they are miles ahead of us since Legohead took over. Spent hundreds of millions more than us

Correct, Rodri tackled Mings against Villa coming from an offside position and passed to Bernardo who scored, perfectly legal and goal allowed but hey presto the rules are immediately changed.
The funniest thing was listening to that corrupt fuckwit Peter Walton making a twat of himself getting his facts wrong on TV saying the goal shouldn't have stood and it wasn't legal.
