Arsenal Thread | 2025/26

Ridiculous

Id say most of our players were probably a 7 out of 10 and we won and all of them more involved than rice
It was a strange game. I actually don’t think we played that well but there are at least 4-5 players I would have given extremely high ratings to.

Bernardo & NOR were just phenomenal I can’t find a fault in either of their performances

Cherki, Rodri, Khusanov, Guehi all fantastic

At times frustrating but Haaland & Donnarumma stepped up when it counted as true world class players do. Doku also had their fullback comfortably beaten and Nunes was solid

It was only really Semenyo that left me pretty frustrated after the performance.

Unfortunately, Newcastle are generally poor away from Sid James' Park. Can't see past a relatively comfortable Tarqs win.

Just like when they played Bournemouth!
No but Newcastle are actually tripe this season. Mediocre at home and even worse away from it. They will not get a result next week

This.

Newcastle players are on the beach and his best players are being dropped because they've told Howe they are fucking off.

They could get their GD up in that game.

My thoughts are the best chance of them dropping points is West Ham.
They’re fighting for their lives and love a win over arse.

Hoping they’ll be well up for that game and arse can’t handle the pressure.

Beating Arsenal to help us win the title and send Spurs down is motivation for them.

Newcastle on paper should be a tough game. That midfield with Guimares back in has a fantastic balance of physicality and technique and up front they should be a threat on the break. I believe Newcastle have had a terrible season because their players don't get up for lower teams and have become arrogant against these teams but against bigger teams they can be pumped up.

If they approach all their games like yesterday then they've got a good chance of winning all their games. However, can they pull that off every game?

They were okay yesterday. They played like any other away team who visit Etihad - sit back and try to counter. They did none of it perfectly. They were opened up quite easily and frequently and City should have scored more. Offensively, they had a few chances which they missed but their goal came due to City f**k up.

The referring, now that was horrendous. Taylor completely lost the plot yesterday. He tried to let the game flow but totally lost the plot when it was time to take the tough calls. Gabriel would have recieved 3 red cards yesterday, if it was a CL match.

As for us, we were good - a solid 8/10 performance. We started well, scored first and didn't let our heads drop when Gigio allowed Havertz to close down and score. He later redeemed himself with a good save and he started the move with a quick throw to Nico for Erling's winning goal. Talking of Nico, what a f**king superstar this kid is. He was absolutely world class yesterday, a 10/10 and man of the match performance. Marc, Khus and Matheus also played their part in a solid defensive performance. Rodri was was influential in shielding the defence and I hope that the injury he suffered is not serious. Rayan was a joy to watch, he ran the Arsenal defence ragged and scored a beauty. Erling loves playing against Arsenal, he was a constant menace the whole game. Scored the winner and made Gabriel to lose his cool multiple times.
Lastly, Bernie you beautiful beautiful human being. He truly loves playing for City, the passion, the heart, the warrior spirit. He led the team by example yesterday, a sharp contrast to his opposite number Odegaard, who was hiding the whole match. It will not be easy to replace him once he leaves in the summer.

A very good result but there are 6 more finals to win. Burnley, Everton, Brentford, Crystal Palce, Bournemouth and Aston Villa stand in our way to the title. Pep and the captains will be aware of the challenge and it's their responsibility to lead, motivate and get the team over the line.

We BELIEVE!

It will be impossible. Like the legends from way back for the FOC's like myself, King Colin, Buzzer, Franny, etc, nobody will ever replace these players. And when you think of the more recent ones who have flown the nest, Kevin, Merlin, Sergio, they are also irreplaceable.

When you're next out and about, raise a glass to the future legends that will wear the City shirt.

Surely, sir!! We have been lucky with our legends in the past and the some of the lads in the current squad are well on their way on the same path.
Onwards & upwards!

Doku frustrated me. He gave the ball away countless times. I don't mind a winger trying to do something and giving the ball away but there were a few easy passes, especially second half, that he had no need to give away.

Anyway - we've been told all season that Arsenal are the best team in Europe. Well we were seconds away from beating them on their own patch, beat them at ours, and humbled them at Wembley.

They were still too cautious at 1-1. They were settling for a draw when Erling scored.
I was saying this earlier. The difference with Klopp's Liverpool is that they would've gone for the kill at 1-1. They might have died trying, but they wouldn't have settled.

On arsenal fan tv in their player ratings video they gave him a 7 out of 10. The primary reason was because ‘he ran around a lot’

The guy was completely anonymous but his PR game is so strong that his supporters will look for anything to try make out that he plays well and justifies his price tag

Can take a corner, and that's it
