Arsenal Thread | 2025/26

I can respect any football club for winning the league but not these because something stinks about it.
Basically as their only pursuers for the title this season we've been stitched.
We've compeated in an unwinnable tournament.
How many apologies from pigmol this season for events in Arsenal games that have led to them gaining points?
Too many for me, to have an ounce of respect for Arsenal, the Premier League or football in general anymore.
This season seems to have been so manufactured it's unreal.
It scares me to think there's no integrity anymore and football can be doctored to achieve whatever outcome is preferred by faceless people in meetings rooms.
I'm sorry but this Premier league outcome just doesn't feel right this year, something doesn't sit right about it unfortunately.
I agree every word. And as Ive just posted elsewhere, pigmol and PL desperate for ABC to get their mitts on that trophy. If Dips had been playing half decent, it is they and not Arsanal who would have benefitted ( not for the first time I must add) to help them to the title.

Plus the fact in later games we have been stitched up with scheduling because we progressed in cup competotions.

We are a better team than Arse pound for pound in footballing terms, but we were too inconsistent with too many draws. They were allowed to capitalise, the West Ham disallowed goal was corruption at its finest.

Well done to them. Though it only took us not challenging properly for them to win, with the lowest end of season tally for quite a while, using the lowest quality style I have seen for a long time, its been like back to SAF era of thuggish football. Nice to see their achievements being tarnished like all ours have. It seems to be the way nowadays.

I cant see them kicking on from that, they got the togetherness and the confidence now but it takes a great manager to do great things. Arteta isnt great. Next season (Especially if Pep goes) could be one of the most open we have seen for a while.

That City fan stunt of drinking arsenal tears was not funny then and watching the entire arsenal team and arteta trying to redo the stunt by drinking water specifically from these bottles and imitating the guy is equally exasperating.

Well it has too much to ask for modesty and class from those lot but man is it irritating AF!

Gooner on talksport reckons half a million people turned up at the stadium last night. Imagine the hundreds of millions who willl turn up for the parade, if not gazillions!

Well, I guess congratulations are in order for the new champions of England, Arsenal. Enjoy it because 22 years is a long long time!

As for us, we will be back next year for your crown and I hope our players remember yesterday's feeling of misery and defeat to help fuel next season title charge!

For all the criticism of Arsenal's style of play their ugly side led to goals and points. Ours led to no goals and frustration.

We must fix our stuttering attack. Then we'll be worthy champions imo.

If Pep does decide to go, we are going to hear all about how 'arsenal scared him off...'

And in honesty, they probably have contributed to the decision. He's probably looked at this season and realized we are entering an age of Wimbledon-esque long throw, long ball shite as every team tries to emulate the dross we've just witnessed win the league. He wont want any of that and I can't blame the fella. Hopefully its a phase that passes quickly, and maybe refs might do a better job moving forward (wont hold my breath tho).

Lay down an early marker next season by beating them easily in the charity shield and you will see all their doubts about competing with you will all come back. They might even have the same sort of defence of their title that Liverpool have had.

Regardless of whether you like their playing style or not, no penalties against them, no red cards and numerous decisions that have gone their way - it's not going to happen again next season. They've won the league but have undoubtedly had so much go their way which has helped them do so. Next season won't be the same, marginal calls will go against them and they'll find it so much harder. For me, finally getting over the line will be such a big thing for them they won't have the energy or mentality to go again. Arsenal have never won back-to-back PL titles, and there's very little chance they will next season in my opinion. The hunger and desire to go again is why Pep is on a completely different planet to the majority of other managers. Legohead setting fire to win the dog isn't going to inspire them to go back-to-back.

Fake Champions, assisted by the PL and PGMOL. Every fan of other clubs know it, we know it.
Its the most rigged title since the Rag days where Ferguson had the refs and PGMOL in his pocket.

Both times the Dippers beat us to the title it was fair play, they were the better team and deserved it, esp the year where their front 3 scored almost 100 goals between them.

I dont know if jts the 115, or Masters comments, but this season, although we have been poor at times and not helped ourselves with shocking finishing and utter incompetence at set pieces, i feel we have lost out simply due to officiating as jts been blatant in favour of Arsenal since game 1 when they fouled the Rags keeper to score the winner from a corner to how they have avoided so many red cards, not had any penalties awarded against them and baffling decisions in their favour.
And the officiating we receive most weeks, fouls on us unpunished, opposition falling to the floor= instant free kicks, reds avoided for oppositions, Haaland having different rules applied to him every week re holding and fouling. Even last night with the linesman flagging in an instant and ignoring the rules of letting play continue for Var to check if it leads to a goal yet letting play out for them before flagging.

I mean, look at Darren England alone.
1) Failed to send Gabriel v Newcastle for the clearest red card you'll ever see, punching the Newcastle striker. then a clear hand ball for a penalty ignored and then scores the winner.
2) Fails to award Chelsea 2 of the clearest penalties you'll ever see in thier 2-1 win
3) Ignores 3 blatant penalties on us v Forest in our 2-2 draw
4_ The West Ham debacle where he ignored actual footage as 3-5 Arsenal fouls before the keeper was touched (and this due to Trossard holding and looking the opposite direction of the ball) and try to say the keeper was the 1st foul.

That's an 8 point swing to Arsenal and don't get me going on the other issues Gbriels headbut, the constant fouling at Corners allowed, the Everton and Brighton non penalties up to thier last game when again they avoided clear cards inc a red and Trossard not even booked for shoving a player to the floor.

No doubt there will be stat paddling now it doesn't matter next weekend and expect Palace to get a penalty but despite a great season for us in a transitional year, with 2 cups and a 2nd place, losing the title to the sheer corruption that is PGMOL is annoying.

Keown moaning about how Arsenal aren’t going to get the plaudits and recognition they deserve. Jim suggested they talk about the way they won it, and Keown saw his arse and said it’s not the day to do it.

He knows it’s been a title nobody cares about or will remember
