On the pitch they are absolute cunts. But however gobby and annoying their fans are they are miles behind the scousers on my shit list.

Anti-football. Pro-football. One team wanted to win tonight. The other wanted to cheat, whine, fake, complain. Sit deep, do nothing, play in a way that does not resemble decent football.

The stats are damning. The play acting is worse.

Saka should have conceded a penalty. Mosquera sent off. They ride their luck. Celebrate a corner like a win. They fall to the floor, pretending the injury is catastrophic - again hoping the ref will penalise the oppositon......by cheating.

A billion pound team that only seeks to destroy. A billion pound team that just offered up probably the worst and most diabolical Champions League Final performance in history.

A team hellbent on cheating their way to a result.

Football won tonight. Thank fuck Arteta didn't.
 
Historically I’ve nothing against Arsenal really, in fact I was very grateful to them for depriving the rags on a number of occasions in the Wenger years and you couldn’t fail to enjoy some of the football they played

This iteration of them though is fairly disgraceful and very dislikeable and it would have been an insult to the memory of Wenger’s great team featuring the likes of Henry, Bergkamp, Pires, Vieira, Ljungberg etc if this bunch of water carriers and divers and wrestlers had done something that they couldn’t

Justice prevailed tonight and the football world is a better place for it.
 
As much as I loathe their style of play, I do get it. It makes sense. They have recognised an opportunity to get high quality chances and they do well at it. As a data guy, I respect it.

What I don't get is why they get so defensive after scoring. The data says to keep going and go after a 2nd but they just shrivel up and defend. Would fucking infuriate me.
 
What a fucking awesome night!
Just back from a sensational concert watching Heaven 17 perform at Peak Cavern, Castleton, to find out the Arse stank out the UCL final and that cheating **** ‘gab’shite missed his first ever pen to blow the match.

Best night I have had in a very long time.

If Carlsberg did Saturdays……

Saka just isn’t that good anymore and is a big game ghost.
Rice is the reason they play so passively in finals too. He’s meant to be their marquee midfield signing that dominates all but he hides behind the opposition’s midfield every big game. Arteta knows this & his deficiencies on the ball are apparent so he tries to cover it up by letting the team sit deeper so they can counter. If Rice tries to play possession ball vs any competent midfield, he gets swallowed up.
Decent n.o 8 but he’s never a pivot player unless you pair him up with a player like Wharton.

Just like Trossard was asked to be a second left back.
