The CL final in 2004 think they had Lehman sent off early against Barca, still ended with 29%, this team scored a fortuitous early goal then sat back, 25% possession in a CL final is awful.

They didn't turn up against us at the League Cups Final, luckily Nico did! They were lauded by the fawning media as plucky losers at the Etihad, when by some miracle, a bit of football broke out. In the League our own inconsistency cost us points in a transitional season, don't believe they were spectacular, no memorable moments I can recall.

Perhaps Arteta will change his negative tactics and encourage them to play football, to try and be courageous and show a bit of sportsmanship.

Perhaps they'll buy a 30 goal a season striker and attempt to shithouse next season, for me I think they've climbed their Everest and will drop off quickly, unless they try to learn from their failures this season.

In an alternative 2025/26 season, Arsenal win the PL, beat us in the League Cup Final and Chelsea in the FA Cup Final, PSG in the CL Final .... Perhaps they might have if they'd been braver in their football.

We will be stronger next season, once Maresca strengthens midfield, Arsenal will lose their game changer in pgmol to the stretfordsiders, and probably be less likely to get away with their NFL plays.

On the other hand everyone will be fked after the World Cup, so it'll probably be Coventry fighting it out for the title with ipswich. ;-(
