Arsenal v West Ham game in doubt?

Pretty sure TS news mentioned it is now on the 27th.

Not gospel though.

Its off for the 26th Sky News have been reporting but no alternative date yet set.

From memory the Wolves game was played a day later last year so the 27th is a likely date unless your weather dictates otherwise.

Getting 60k fans/employees into a stadium when there are no trains running would be extremely difficult. Also, the over ground at highbury is undergoing works too so that won't be running.

Are the buses not running too?

Are there no overground trains stopping at Finsbury Park, Seven Sisters and Drayton Park? Finsbury Park is a major bus exchange area within London, so if the overground and buses are fine, it will be of little inconvenience to those travelling to the game.

West Ham fans will have few problems getting to the ground as there are plenty of trains into City from Essex and East London.

Arsenal have tried this on before. To be honest, I hope it is cancelled and Arsenal are forced to play the game the following day.

Arsenal fans will be happy if the game as a lot of them come from Hertfordshire and rely on getting the Tube from Cockfosters, Oakwood, Southgate and Arnos Grove. No sympathy from me.

The bastard driver want triple time and a day in lieu so instead of the double time and day in lieu they now get fuck all. Underground drivers = *****

They've threatened to strike for every New Years Eve I've spent in London and usually withdrawn the threat just days before. People won't be able to make plans until they know they can get home safely etc.

Rearranged for the 23rd Jan or 26th Jan

That could be useful for West Ham because they've got players out injured.

I know mate they are a complete disgrace. They get paid a stupid amount of money as it is. Basic minimum of £40k a year most of them easily make £60k but they strike every other week for "safety"

Free travel for them and their Families too. I think my 1 to 3 Oyster will top £130 a month in 2013 but the service is still mediocre. I'd like to see the Tube go 24/7 for that kind of salary.
