Quick recce to the shop turns up a wilderness-like but still functioning locale. Signs of easing.

Stockport Field Office: Arsing it down with snow.

Fearing that my excellent gritting job I did on the apartments around Didsbury/Fallowfield may not stand up to the downpour. Think it's gonna be a 5am start tomorrow. Stuff it, 6am, McDonalds porridge brekkie and off out gritting.

Still arsing it down in north lincs, as it has been for the last ten hours or so, around about 8 to ten inches of lying snow, don't fancy my chances of making the match tonight if this carries on.

christ mate,thats serious snowfall in lincs.....just started again in staly,nasty conditions for the day crew to wake to...stalybridge post signing off.

Update from Salford Quays - Only a very light covering of snow overnight but freezing conditions will make it a bit tricky on the roads.
