Artemis II

What time ?

Just over an hour to go I believe, my initial thoughts are that the timings will be more punctual than an uber and less dragged out than a Mike Tyson fight.

Fingers crossed everyone gets back safe.

I went on a school cruise around the Baltic, including St.Petersburg (then Leningrad)and Moscow, and the day after we returned to school we witnessed Neil Armstrong make that small step onto the Moon. So for me this Artemis is a little underwhelming, but understand how amazing it must be for people who were born after 1969.
Born 1972, science has played a big part in my life, this is amazing. Anyone watching the live feed on YouTube? You can see the earth getting closer and closer. Awesome!

Read this a lot and was curious, is is true that re-entry is the most dangerous part of the mission?
Sorry, meant to reply. Yes, it is (along with launch), just because of the sheer number of things that can go wrong.

Speed, angles, weather, heat. All things that have to be monitored and overcome simultaneously. So yeah, it's absolutely one of if not the most dangerous part.

Can't even imagine what's going through their families minds now as they approach 24000 mph speed and heat of 1600c . Gonna be a tense 40 minutes for them but all looks good so far
