As a football club, do we have the will to win the League?

I think we are similar to Liverpool last season, with a new manager coming in who demands the high press and getting my everyone to suit his system. We can smash anyone on our day and look outstanding but we are still learning and find hard to break down teams who park the bus. We will only grow stronger into the season but I think we might just miss out on the title this year, especially with Liverpool and Chelsea looking fresh and strong.
Still early doors though and injuries could play a big part with the top clubs. If we can go into the New Year too of the pile I think we will win it but with our fixtures up until the end of the year I would be happy to be within 3 points of the top.

Regards Chelsea and Liverpool fans at the weekend
We all know that if your team is battering another one which is utter shite it raises the crowd
As for Arsenal supporters, they were playing their big local derby so would have been right up for it

Yep, there's nowt like a derby or a battering to get the crowd going. The last three home games have been rather tense affairs where we've either chased the game or not converted a hatful of chances and, human nature being what it is, the tension will be taken up on the terraces!

I am fairly sure that I will get slated for this but I've tried it on people away from BM and they agreed with me: We need a plan B, yes Guardiola is a good manager, yes he may be all the things you are eulogising about but he hasn't managed in the PL and it IS different, we need a Plan B.

And no, I've no idea what the Plan B might be but we have to look for one!! Plus it is time to bring Kompany back from the wilderness, if he is on the bench that means he is capable of playing even if it is only for 45 minutes. For me on Saturday it was bringing young Garcia on when it should have been Vinnie. Bring Garcia or young lads on when we are winning 5-0 not when we are trying to protect a 1 goal lead!! JMHO

So we don't have the will to win the league and Liverpool do. Hmmmmm.

Hmmmmm.

Perhaps it's not so important then.

I was just thinking as I switched on this computer and headed for the OS that we are just not as ruthless as the teams around us. And there's ZabMan saying the same thing. And the minute we adopt some element of ruthlessness the Whistling Wankers are out with a yellow card. The top teams in the CL and the PL have a mentality that exudes ruthlessness in every position. Their goalies, when the occasion arises, are time-wasting bastards and every outfield player, just as we build a promising move into the oppo half, have a little tug, nudge, or shove that the ref allows as we still have the ball but the person on the ball is slightly edged off line and opportunity has to go through the machine again. We adopt that approach and we hear a whistle!
