As a football club, do we have the will to win the League?

Completely agree with all of that, but as me and you know,Liverpool dominated in the late 70's and most of the 80's,and Utd for most of 90's and 00's,so why can it not be our turn to rule it for a decade or so,we think we are laying foundations then bang we win it,then blow it season after, win it again, then blow it again,I would just love us to win it say 5 or 6 years on trot, but I think you will find that our owners are more interested in the CL now, which is a shame

Please don´t misunderstand, I would love for that to happen but I cannot let my confidence outweigh my City Factor feelings, it is the only thing that stops me from being suicidal after a particularly bad experience with the team I love.

As I was told many years ago before it was dare I say fashionable to be a City supporter ´´Anyone can support United, it is character building to support City´´.
I have spent all my life waiting for what is happening now but a lifetimes experience has taught me to be cautious in my optimism regarding City. However, I am glad to be around when at least part of my loyalty to City is being repaid with a team that can compete with the best in the world.

Hard to judge everything based on Saturday's disappointment, as even the Radio commentator noted that the atmosphere at Stamford Bridge had been lifted by the news of Boro's late equalizer and the knowledge that a victory would take them top.
Let's see if they can maintain their consistency, but I sense that some people have forgotten just how solid Chelsea were two seasons ago.
As for City, we always knew that Pep was starting a cultural revolution, that would take no prisoners. It was always going to take time, and we're still being dragged down by some of last season's issues.

All a bit deja vu for me this season. So similar to last. Won our first 6 games, everyone said we'd run away with it, then we start to drop points, seem incapable of winning two games in a row despite still being bookies favourites and all the pundits saying we should win it as we've the strongest team.

Hoping Pep can prevent a similar outcome to last season, but doesn't look good at the minute.

My expectations before the season started were to hopefully finish in the top 4, nothing's changed and I'm comfy with that this season, let's just give the manager and players time to develop and see if there's any improvement come May, this season was always going to be a bit of a roller coaster, buckle up and enjoy the ride

This is going to sound like I'm having a go/picking a fight, but I'm not

Yes we were pretty average in 2008 but we now have one of the best squads in world football, we have the best manager, our most talented players are at their peak and our best and most senior players all have Premier league experience
Our time is NOW not wait til next season or the one after. Also rans does not come into the equation
We've just had two very average/wasted seasons (for a squad such as ours) under Pellers.
We should not, that's all of us supporters, players and club management, be accepting another year of a top four finish and say "we are in a bedding in period." That's just absolute bollocks

Some people need to settle down on here. Apart from maybe Spurs and that's a big maybe no team has deserved to take points of us this season, only through individual errors and lack of finishing from the players has seen us drop points. If I was turning up watching city like last season struggling on the pitch getting deservedly beat at home of teams like West Ham, Leicester, Spurs etc then I'd b worried. Pep knows what he's doing and he's the first to acknowledge that we aren't gonna win every game. Just enjoy it blues.

Performances of the players after big match Champions League games suggests not, but this is also mirrored in the stands.

Have we grown complacent? We've got Guardiola, we've won a few trophies. The fans are happy and satisfied. Watching MOTD it seems to me that the fans and players of Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea are up for it in a way we are not.

In part this is a product of a club like Liverpool, who expect to win trophies, going so long without real success, and City a club whose supporters grew up in the shadow of Man Utd suddenly seeing their club move out of the shadow and become one of the biggest clubs in Europe. We are happy, but it doesn't help us on match-day. We just sit back and expect.

The self-belief and enthusiasm is building at Anfield. It's not the most important thing, but it's a factor. I don't suppose there is anything we can do about it.
With Klopp last season Liverpool finished 8th. They will challenge for the title this season. That's because it took a season for Klopp's philosophy to be ingrained in their team and he's had year to see what he needed to change in his squad.

With Guardiola this season we are seeing a huge turnaround in the way we play and the attitude of the players but that will not be spot on until next season. He will also still have players in this squad who are not who he wants and there will be certain types of players he will want to bring in before his philosophy becomes ingrained in this team.

Come May we could well be top and I hope we are, dropping points when we should be closing games and/or just twatting some teams pisses me off as much if not more than most, but I try to be a bit pragmatic, it's best for my sanity, I'll judge at the end of the season and may well just go off on one, most on here just call me a clueless c**t and ignore me, so don't worry about hurting my feelings :-)
