Away from home, referee gives them everything.

We absolutely dominate. Hit the bar twice, have a tonne of shots and good chances.

Opponent gets some absolutely crazy penalty decision that has never happened before and will never happen again.

And the referee has never heard of a clock and has no concept of time, so blows up 2 minutes early.

Carve it into stone and hang it up in the training ground, because this is the essence of the Champions League. It is the way it has always been and it is the way it always will be.

To be honest, we hugely lack the quality to go far in the CL. You cant compete with a team so devoid of pace, creativity and a leaky defence. Getting to the 1st knockout round will be an achievement in itself.
 
first half bar their goal was great I thought. Second half a bit sloppier. Overall thought we played well and lost because of a truly shit decision. I don’t blame Nico for the pen. Absolutely fuckin joke. But im not concerned about the performance, think it was overall positive.
 
we been good, should have been out of sight. First half been almost perfect, you just could not played it better bar more goals. Monaco literally had 1 wonder shot. Its Champions League away game, you do not have here shit teams, Monaco is decent. Second half we been still good, created enough to finish it off. Soft penalty, shit ref mostly. Anyway, unlucky and nothing really that damaging with a draw.

One complaint is we need sometimes other goalscorers than Haaland. Reijnders alone had 4 chances, he must put at least one to bed. Otherwise hes been better today than lately.
 
Cherki/Marmoush play tonight and that’s an easy win. We can’t keep relying on Erling to score the goals. Fucking Bernardo doing 90 minute nothing performances and then we bring on that shithouse Savinho.
 
Tonight highlights how far we’ve dropped over the past couple of years and how much work we’ve still got to do to get back to the top.

Yes, the referee was a blatant cheat, but we’ve experienced that many times over the years and we’ve had enough nous and ability to overcome it. Not tonight though.

Monaco were a really poor side, yet we constantly gave the ball away, we looked extremely vulnerable on the counter and the whole balance of the team was off because Guardiola, for some unknown reason, insists on playing Bernado who once again was the worst player on the pitch.

Meanwhile we’ve got a player like Haaland up front, in the form of his life, and we can’t create a single chance for him the second half against a pub team.

Guardiola really needs to get it together and quickly, because he’s running out of excuses- he made changes tonight which were unnecessary and made the team worse.

His game as always is to control
the game pace! he kills the game to many times when we attack for me like neat then end runs down the wing first instinct is to then put his foot on the ball pass it back he shouldn’t kept running and cross the ball there was Haaland running into the box and another player!

Kill the fucking game when we 2 clear goals up for fuck s sake! Can’t see us getting top 8 but we will qualify in top 16
 
Just continuation of the last season, cannot play more than one half, loss of concentration leading to inability to hold to (multiple) leads, lack of energy so we cannot mount attacks into injury time, so late goals are rarity these days, rarely managing to have more than one creative outlet, Haaland a monster if a ball comes to him, otherwise we play with with one man down. We are just not serious contenders. That's my glass half empty.
