Asa Hartford - 2 spells

I believe from those a little older than me that Denis Law wasn't quite as good second time round, either - though he did have a pretty creditable goals ratio in that one-season second spell. And he did score a rather memorable goal, as well. ;)

Asa Hartford
I remember his second spell with the club . I was disappointed when he left in 1984 .
I was also disappointed when Dennis Tueart left in 1983 .
These two players were a vital cog of a very good City team in the mid to late 70s

I loved Asa in his first spell & thought he did ok in a very poor team in his 2nd. During his return I once saw him upended by a Stoke defender at in a game at home, Stoke lad must of been 6'4" + Asa leapt back up at him, defender absolutely crapped himself & flung himself to the floor as the angry 5' 5" Scot snarled back at him
