Interesting insight into Asahi being installed at City, pre season.

It’s been ten days since I spent seven weeks at The Etihad Stadium carrying out the new asahisuperdry grolsch cornishorchard installations and what a fantastic opportunity it was to work on a project so vast and also meet some great people in the process.
In the end the team and I installed 600+ taps to a very high standard under difficult conditions. Two heat waves, equipment supply issues, labour availability problems and a never ending saga of inherited complications made this a gruelling installation. Massive to everyone involved on delivering such a huge project, on and off site.
A fews stat to highlight just how big the job here was: I averaged 20,000 steps a day over 7 weeks which equates to 700,000 steps - that’s 530km (330 miles!) Hours worked over the seven weeks was just over 445hrs which shows just how many human hours it took across the available resource to deliver this.
It wouldn’t be a asahiuk post if I didn’t mention sustainability. I managed to find a hotel for my colleagues and I where we could not only park vans in a city centre, but also charge them at no extra cost (little mention for the niuloom). Over the seven weeks I drove to and from the stadium on electric only meaning 100% of my time spent in Manchester was emission free. In total I would have saved a tank of fuel for the PHEV fordtransit that asahi have supplied me with.
