Our Company has an executive box at the ground.Having been a season ticket holder for over 30 years, I had the opportunity to go in the box last night so I took it. The box had a number of different people in there, some Spurs fans, a 77 year old man, a 7 year old boy.
The Spurs fans did not say a word during the game, not even when they scored. A spurs fan in a box next to us was overheard, and the abuse he received from the row of City fans below us was an embarrassment. They then started giving abuse to our box. I told them to leave it out, and was nearly attacked by 3 or 4 of them. I was a blue since before 2 or 3 of them were even born. The stewards did nothing, apart from telling everyone to go inside the box. One of the so called City Fans then decided to spit at one of our party from 2 yards away. If i had a baseball bat at that point, I would gladly have knocked him in to next season. I could write a whole lot more, but it sickens me even thinking about it.
I am glad we are not going to be gracing the Champions League with Pricks like that following us.

So to all of Row O, who sit in front of the executive boxes, 3 from the end near the Sky box, Thanks for ruining the night, even more than the result.

And PS, If there is no one stood up in front of you, you don't need to stand for the whole game!

trying telling that to all 9,000 fans who stood up all the way through last night's game

Not condoning their behaviour, but that happens all over, I've had that treatment at Charlton and West Ham to name but two. Personally, my experience last night was that the City fans were a credit and recognised we just weren't good enough on the pitch.

I was near the incident (if you're talking about the boxes above 210) and I see where you're coming from. Some of the abuse got a bit nasty and cannot be condoned.

But why do the Club think it's a good idea to put away fans in effectively the home end? I heard the Spurs fan cheering when they scored, and wasn't impressed with that.

If I go in the 'home' end I keep my mouth shut, and if I stand up and cheer and rub their noses in it I deserve a crack, I don't see how sitting in a box with a suit on changes any of that?

By the way, those two boxes have away fans in them most weeks, perhaps the owners of them should be a bit more self controlling and remind their guests to respect where they are.

I was ashamed of some of OUR fans too last nite. I went with my dad we stayed and sang to the end like we do every home game then we watched as loads of people went home but we were hanging on for the lap of honour then a bloke came down the steps at the side of us with 2 of his mates pushed the metal gates trying to get on the pitch then got into one of the stewards faces swearing and being a knob my dad said to him hey mate you'll just get a ban if you go on the pitch then he turned on my dad my dad pushed me behind him but i had hold of his arms this guy tried headbutting him but totally missed. To be honest i got a bit nervous as this guy had his mates stood behind him so i pulled my dad out of the stadium he was fuming. So if by any chance you are that guy well done you had a go at the smallest blue you could find (no offence dad:)!) stood with his kid an you still looked a tw*t.

If you're sitting in the away end and celebrate you're entitled to any abuse you get. You say the Spurs fans with you didn't say owt, but the fans around them obviously knew they were Spurs fans some how, so they must have done something.

As for the standing up bit, give over. Would you rather everyone stay sat down for the whole game and politely clap the players when scoring while shouting "jolly good"?

Fuck right off OP. Our fans are legends.

The shit we've had to put up with over the years I think you can let us off leaving early after having our dreams crushed.

These threads are fucking pathetic and usually a knee jerk reaction to something small. Fuck off OP.

Alright fella, people like this aren't "fans" they are just miserable pricks who attach their life to the club (makes it much easier to blame something when things don't go their way)

Take your cameraphone with you next time and shame this vermin.

Onto the original poster, I haven't sat around that area for a long time however I am aware of this particular box now (just from posting on BM) as many fans have complained about the regularity inwhich away fans are seated in this box.
Nobody can excuse the behaviour as it does sound they didn't even go near the "general banter" marker and were just knobheads.
again these aren't fans, just miserable pricks who associate themselves with a club (which somehow gives them a right to release their lifes frustration out on others)

A few Spurs fans parked next to us last night (gate 5) and before the game they noticed we were city, you could see their apprehensiveness in their faces, but myself i just smiled at them and carried on to the stadium.
For every little incident of vulgarity that gets noticed, there are hundreds of other incidents were fans cross paths and mutual respect is shown.

Funny you should say that Ste i think my Dad got pics of them b4 the game but he's at work at the mo. Dont get me wrong i might only be 12 but ive had my ticket since turning 5 an usually i find city fans awesome i go with my dad an granddad and normally have a fantastic day out these guys at the match last nite were just there to cause trouble and was just a bit gutted coz it spoils the day
but ill still be there next season C'MON CITY!

I think you may have reponded in the wrong thread, I didn't mention anything about leaving early. If you did mean to reply to this thread, I wouldn't call anyone who spits at someone else a legend unles syou mean Rudi Voller, Diouf etc.

I don't get this. If you are a blue and the Spurs fans in your box said fk all why did you get spat at?

Also if you were in a box what has people standing up all game got to do with you?

If people want to stand in 110 and 111 thats up to them. The club allow it.

Standing elsewhere in Eastlands is a no no as I've found out. You get seriously moaned at. Thats why I moved to 111.

Ah yea sorry about that, I had many tabs open at the time. Still, these knee jerk threads bore me to death.

In a stadium full of about 47000 people there are bound to be a few dick heads in there some where.

I know there are knobs at every club and we are certainly blessed with a few ourselves but to play devils advocate if i can for a moment.

Why do you think the club are changing the make-up of the stands getting families away from this sort of behaviour and controlling where the drinkers/singers and likely tossers (and I dont mean that a drinker or singer = tosser btw) may well end up?

The attitude to behaviour in football grounds has changed and will continue to change for the better and it will be easier for the club to manage its resources and control things in the future.
