I think he's a brilliant and solid defender, and a very competent replacement for Kompany. (Not long term, but in a system of rotation that we need to compete in league and cup/europe)

I'd have him over Shawcross who is 3 years younger, and would be a cheaper option, depending on Swansea's stance.

Again, that's why I likened him to Vinny. I really do rate him as a decent defender, and I'd say a steal at 4-6 million, when they are asking 12+ for Shawcross?
