theres a few in the Old Ball
I just sent raffles a message about the old ball good boozer all the city matches on landlord a blue,i watch all the aways i cant get to in there which is a lot these days...Lots of reds go in there though but never any trouble.....Someone mentioned the hare n hounds earlier it was a big blue place 15-20 years ago now its most def red trust me

The Hare & Hounds at Hurst Cross ran an official supporters club from there in the early 90`s and Tony Coton was a regular at the time.
The lad involved in running it was called Dennis Mcdermott, I`m sure he`s at Ridge Hill wmc these days.
The Hare has definitely gone down hill since and is now ran by a family of well known Rags!!

The bloke who used to run the Ashton supporters club from the Hare & Hounds was Stuart Whitehead.

Re: Ashton-under-Lyne

The Warrington Arms is Ashton's best blue pub, any supporters club would be brilliant there.

Would love for a supporters club to be started in Ashton. I've never understood why there hasn't been one

Rosbottom's on tour!

AUL Supporters club definitely needs to be set up! I go in the warry quite a lot, that would be a great place to base it!

Re: Ashton-under-Lyne

Seems we have two main possible venues then. That's a good start ;0

I just need to try and get things organised this side now. Is/has anyone been in an OSC branch before?

-- Fri May 20, 2011 7:28 pm --

Woohoo - just had a reply from the Chairman. This bit was interesting: "Please note the OSC is no longer, we are now known as Manchester City Supporters Club (1949)."

Rather long title.

Anyway - thanks to Carol Darvil, I now have the info I need.

Looks like it's all systems go (landlords permitting). :D

stalybridge - bp run coaches for every game and when not many going they jump on with cheadle

yesterday a bus went from ridge hill labour club but loads with no tickets

sun in in audy are starting a new branch i think

ashton we used to go from heroes of waterloo with geoff (spud) et all but its not official. i know they had another coash yesterday though but for normal aways they dont have enough for coaches every game
Is that Geoff Taylor?,used to go with him and a load of loonies from the cross and Waterloo, including mine host from the Old Ball(Giggy),I wouldn't have a criminal record if it wasn't for this lot.
Harry Revell did run the OSC in the late seventies, early eighties moved from the Portland St. club to Highland Laddie and then onto Pegs Tavern opposite the rugby club, last I heard of it.
Tony Garlick is another name from old ashton branch. We had a sunday team called Ashton blues also !!
Tony Garlick a massive blue, wonder if he still works at Stamford Park.
I remember him getting stranded in Lodz, when we played Widzew in the UEFA cup. They had a whip round and bucket collection to fly him and a few others back from behind the iron curtain.
He and Geoff were good mates and used to go with Paul Holland ,Kev Bradshaw and big Brian Shockledge.
