Quite simply by asking 1 of them where they were from as part of a brief conversation at half time!! If that is racist then i must be. I live in sheffield and travel with yorkshire blues, many a blue will ask us where we are from cos the accent is diferent. The point of my post was to say that half of the blues in the section in the main stand were not regulars. and i was particulary narked that 2 of my yorkshire mates (1 with 5400 and 1 with 5130 points) missed out on tickets.

Bollocks you asked them, it was just the easiest way for you to describe them maybe you heard an accent or something but you never asked them, be man enough to admit that. I understand your frustration but describing people the way you did can be taken the wrong way. Noone calling you a racist but you comments can be misleading.
The issue is with the club not the people you see at the matches.

Not taken out of context like you did quoting me. The exact posting as it was.
And you tell me you are going to knock me out because my comment was the most disrespectful you had even seen.

I repeat I am not racist, nor am I a bigot !! How about you ?

Who cares what you repeat? I think what you said and did was disrespectful and offensive. If you think me defending a women against bullies at football matches makes me an "internet hard man" then you are a clown. Stop qouting me out of context with regards to the conversation, if I was a bigot Id have been banned.

And I repeat what I said if you had said that near me to that woman I have punched you. Nothing to do with fighting against those I do not agree with but as a person of color myself I do not take kindly to people who bully others based on ethnicity.

If you have any issue with me pm until then keep it moving I wont go back and forth online.

Hey didactic
You know me? No.
Your original post's stated that my description was racist.
You dont seem to take offence that i also described 2 lads as being italian - how did i know that? perhaps i presumed because they were wearing some unusual shoes!! Or perhaps i had a brief chat with them at the start of the game.
You are now calling me a liar.
What next...you going to threaten to knock me out?
Once again my post was about ticket distribution - i think you have taken it out of context. The fact of the matter is that in that section of the city section there was an awful lot of people who usually dont watch city away - FACT.
If my original post has appeared misleading or had perceived racist undertones then i apologise as that was not the intention.

Look.

Why don't the club just do it on a loyalty points/first come, first served basis.

Everyone then has a fair crack at a ticket.

Get rid of pre-ordering, corporates and anything that favours any indivual or group.

The club has all loyaty points on file. They know exactly how many loyalty points everyone has.

If you want to go to an away match, then you apply via phone, email or via the OS. Everyone applies individually. Those living far away have no reason not to apply, as they will get an away ticket if they have enough loyalty points.

As the tickets sell, the points drop. There is no reason why the club can't put a page on the OS site showing current loyalty points needed and away tickets selling/ remaining. This can be updated on a daily or hourly basis, so everyone knows where they stand and whether they will get a ticket or not. Tickets can then either be collected or posted out.

That in my opinion is a fair way of selling away tickets. Everyone with enough loyalty points gets a chance, and priority isn't given to individuals or groups, regardless of their connections to the club.

Over to you Mr Cook.

Spurs fan here, I'll tell you lot this. Imagine not only having some random tourist fans coming and snapping away tickets to the derby, which is every season, but a ticket to a Champions League knockout stage game which you might not be able to see again...

At THFC we're starting to get loads of fans who don't come to support the team but to watch the team. It's fucking doign my head in as the atmosphere is turning shite and we have a load of people in the South Stand who won't stand up anymore. Fair enough if there was something wrong with them but they just sit in silence. Really infuriates me so I haven't gone to many league games this season as I only go for the atmosphere.

I went to buy a AC Milan ticket the other day and it was chaos. We have some ridiculous online queue system and it turns out that there was a online ticketing cock up where anyone who went to get a ticket half an hour before or half an hour after the ticket went on sale wasn't actually moving anywhere in the so called 'queue' but anyone who came in half an hour later was going straight in.

Its really infuriating that I watch us get beat by teams like Wigan this season, put up with watching us in mid table medicority for years and years then someone who has been to ZERO games this season can come along and snap up a ticket for our biggest game in decades, not to support the team but to be entertained.

Having glory hunting wankers like those and a shite atmosphere is the price you boys will have to pay for like we have. Just look at Chelsea, as much as I despise the cunts they used to have a real intimidating atmosphere. Now its a library.

Are the club going to be brave? Are they going to break the mold even further, as they have been doing?

The loyalty points system and the way away tickets are distributed needs looking at, and it needs overhauling.

If the club can create a family stand and with it introduce changes that affect thousands of supporters, then there is no reason why they can't do something similar reagrding the loyalty points system and away tickets.

If the will is there, the club can and should do it.

You mean for the away derby ??

No Cleavers. For every away game.

Scrap the current system.

Loyalty points. First come, first served. Individuals apply. Collect or post tickets out. End of.

Can't agree that the system needs scrapping as it works well by and large. The only way I think it could be tweaked is maybe some kind of 3/5 year rolling term.

Picking up on jrb's point.... or how I interpreted his point.

Anyone that wants to go to a certain away "applies", when the application window closes everyone who has applied is "ranked" according to their loyalty points. Say we get an allocation of 3k, the top 3k names on the list get the ticket.

That seems fairer alround. If you have loads of loyalty points you'll get a ticket. If you haven't got loads, at least you have a chance of getting one.

we need to find a way to stop those with high points buying them and then selling them on to people with low points

Yes.

Scrap the current system.

Away tickets should only go to fans with the correct amount of loyalty points. End of.

Away tickets shoudn't be allowed to be pre-ordered.

Everyone should apply for away tickets individually, depending on their current loyalty points alloaction. 95% of the time, they will get an away ticket. When there is a huge demand for tickets, like for United, then it goes down to the amount of loyalty points you are currently on. And not if you're a corporate or in a supporters branch.

Away tickets to either be collected in person at the ticket office or posted out. (signed for if needed)

Tickets sold, remaining, and loyalty points needed, should be shown on the OS.

City can do the above. It's whether they want to do it or not.
