Aston Villa (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

Why do we have an assistant manager who can’t speak English and can’t communicate directly with the players ? How does that help Pep ?
A lot of the players speak Spanish and his football English will be good enough to get over things individually or with small groups He had a good relationship with Cole Palmer Im sure Cole doesn't speak Spanish

We are in the worst state since Pep arrived and I include his first season here in that. I now go into every game expecting to lose and usually we do. We are easy to score against and can't score ourselves. Our midfield is too old and has no legs. I'm dreading the Salford game as it has another Halifax written all over it.
Even a fully fit squad isn't sorting this out, not that we will ever have one, it's like an episode of fucking casualty every week these days.

Pep is right on the likes of Morgan etcetera though. All those players had to move on in the end because they had world class players in their position ahead of them. They just couldn't get game time. Nobody saw Morgan turning out the way he did. He didn't set the world alight on loan and Middlesbrough fans didn't rate him either. Sometimes these things happen.

Every week someone Pep doesn't mention in the pre match presser doesn't make it to the ground this week it was Nunes and yes he probably wouldn't have made a difference to how easy it was for Villa to keep us quiet for 93 minutes on the scoreboard but I wouldn't be surprised if we have a different back four on Thursday than we had starting at Villa Park largely enforced upon us.

Have to agree that a fully fit squad wouldn't have made much difference this season to our results to date with maybe one or two exceptions but that is mere speculation.

Agree . City in the past have picked up players who had done very little for previous clubs then shone at City . This is the nature of football sometimes. Some players click at certain clubs with certain managers etc
