Aston Villa (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

It reminds me of Pep's first season.

He played his way, no matter what. Played a high line with players coming to the end or not good enough anymore and we had some terrible results.

All the same arguments that are in this thread today were said back then.

But then he had a summer transfer windows and we went on to dominate.

I look forward to him doing the same again.
He had energy then and a style of play that most teams couldn't cope with.
Not happening again.

Oh brother what? The truth hurts?
GOD FORBID a young player who wants to get minutes... and I'm quoting Cole, "Come back as prepared as possible for the first team."

How about this for a truth? Pep's giant ego couldn't handle the fact that a player wouldn't want to ride the bench and train under him daily like McAtee currently is.

Pep saying after the game. He isn’t in the right moment to make tactical and creative changes. Wtf! Those are the words of someone who wants the sack
Think it's pretty clear what he meant. He was asked if he took off Stones for tactical reasons, and basically said "do you really think I'd do that when we're playing like this?"

The only tactic that worked in the first half was getting it to Grealish. It took us 10 minutes of the second half to do it again. Ridiculous really.

Good to see Erling coming out to bat for Pep and taking some responsibility. He's the last one to blame though.
It's in adversity when you find out about people's true personalities. I feel sorry for Haaland, he's had f all to feed off but continues to work hard and his body language is good imo.
