Mahrez has moved ahead of Sterling on current performances but I suspect he will be back in on Saturday with Sergio rested. When Laporte is back I think he will be partnering Fernandinho in the centre of defence with Stones and Otamendi sharing substitute duties.

Mendy starting to look like a player again and Cancelo benefitting from match time. David Silva can still do it but probably only against teams like Villa.

Thought Grealish came over pretty well on his post match interview. He played poorly, Villa were woeful and they lost 6:1 but he didn’t offer excuses and took it on the chin. Fair play to him.

Villa manager has to mention money of course, saying our scorers cost more than his squad, which is incorrect as they spent 130 million alone in the summer. Dint remember him mentioning money when they lost to the Dippers
