Aston Villa (A) - Post-Match Thread

Possibly the worst ‘officiating’ I have EVER seen.
He made the rules up as he went along.

We were awful 2nd half.
The Target stoppage was 4 mins 20 secs alone. We were gifted with just 4 minutes injury time so it could have been worse.

a coupla subs around 75 mins mighta relieved some of the pressure, and then Grealish finally comes on and his position seems to be in Sterling's lap for some reason

Seemed like mike Dean gave us nothing but maybe I'm just biased.

Certainly unfortunate to concede at the start of 2nd half, Zin barged - fairly or unfairly - into knocking ball out and then ball goes in off the front of the post.

We lost too many balls in our own half but defended well when we had to.

We have a perpetual problem of not scoring enough and killing teams that we are totally dominating off. A truly world class striker is, as we all know, needed.

That was by no means our strongest side but was still much the stronger team.

Big 3 points but awful game management second half.

mahrez, Jesus & raz are just so inconsistent for prem league players.

I will just remember & focus on Bernie in that first half & his world class goal
Raheem looked back to his best first half. Thought he was excellent.
Sadly, he completely regressed back to his very worst in the second, though he was far from alone in that
