Yes he's the most capable striker on the planet- but the way he's been playing of late- I'd entertain offers for him come summer. He basically stands by whomever has been tasked to mark him, shrugs his shoulders after a few minutes of realizing he's not playing vs a U18 caliber defender and then proceeds to do fuck all to shake them. He looks annoyed when there's no service yet barely looks to find openings and counts on magical passes to capitalize on. After starting the season looking like he'd shaken off the multiple misses that plagued him last year- he's again whiffing on the few opportunities of late that fall to him. He looks bored, tepid and basically like he's waiting for a beach to come and find him. He's been found out and has become a flat tracker who disappears in games where there's any semblance of threat vs us which this season has become every single game. You can't keep blaming "lack of services" either fucking evolve your game or admit you're not the generational phenom you think you are.

With the money we'd get for him- we could fund 2 hungry strikers who have more of a rounded approach to their game.
I think selling him might be a tad reactionary Zen, but I do know he's becoming a problem right now. Lack of service, special treatment from opposition(under refs noses)and maybe even being blasé because he thinks he's undroppable, who knows! But I do know he needs a break..but so to quite a few of em.

Exactly this but it won’t happen he won’t drop Haaland not that I don’t agree with you
Agree about Walker and Edison they should not get near this team unless required due to further injury crisis which inevitably is going to happen so we ain’t seen the last of Walker yet
Gundogen and KDB need nursing and tactically utilised through to the end of the season at which point I’d expect both to leave more than likely they should cash in on a move to US or Saudi
Be good if they went to NY both could possibly return one day as coaches etc don’t think they are candidates for replacing Pep tho

yeah i agree, I doubt he will drop Haaland or Walker in the long run.

Clearly as has been exhausted in debates today we are useless at doing the right deals. Take your points but all 3 could have been within our gift to pull off. Not sure we required all three 1 would have been easy Maddison and no way Rice would turn us down if we had the gumption to pursue and court him sell the club and how his career will be a success
All three last year would have had A PL medal nailed onto their CV and I’d suggest we wouldn’t have rolled over against Madrid and as for the FA Cup that would have been nailed on

We wanted Rice to say he only wanted to join City - pretty much what we do with most of our targets as it makes negotiating with the selling club easier. Rice didn't want to as he was happy going to either us or Arsenal

I see a few people starting to throw out the idea of benching Haaland.
In my opinion, that would be a huge mistake.

Villa are one of the most open sides of the top six range teams.
They have given up 25 already this season.
It would be a huge mistake to bench Haaland in one of the first matches in awhile he may actually have some real room to operate.
Of course, that would mean we would need to play balls over the top or through the channels, and I will wait to see if Pep changes his tune on that.
