A good reason for us to get that thing, too. Shut these people up, perhaps (along with Chelsea, who always sing it against us). United and Liverpool will just sing “Wait until you've got three or four”. Not bothered really.

In the early seventies, we used to sing a song, “We won the league, we won the cup, we've been to Europe, too”. I just thought that was so City at the time, and liked it. Not needing to say we'd won the Cup Winners Cup, just saying off the cuff that we'd “been to Europe”.
Class. We've got some younger fans now who are pretty gobby — goes with the territory — but I still like to think that we're like that song, at heart. It could all come to end, and I'd still die happy, not giving a fuck because I'm all pissed up.
