Aston Villa (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

you can still foul someone after playing a ball - but yeah it certainly wasnt a clear and obvious error so i dont think they should have given it
I don’t think it was a foul I think it was just slight contact and coming together after he played the ball.
We see it constantly where a player makes a tackle and momentum takes a player into another player and it’s not a foul.

Just watched.

Hated the soft fanny penalty as well as the egregious time wasting Villa comitted throughout the game.

Thought we were literally playing for a draw the last 10-15.

Told my wife at the 85th "ONLY way we win with the way we've played goes through Doku."

Have not seen a thrilling at the death fist pumping goal that got me up yelling in I can't remember how long.

Feeling confident about 4th much less fifth now.

It was a very satisfying victory.

Sincere condolences to those who paid £71 and heard the cheer outside the ground, completely missing the moment.

How many times does this sort of win have to happen before the penny drops?

The game isn't over until the final whistle sounds, and anything can happen until it does.

Only one team wanted the win tonight City and throughly deserved. Disappointing from villa who gave nothing only time wasting from the first minutes and the referee was a fucking disgraceful. Great win by the boys

When I lived in Manchester and had the opportunity to go to most home games, I always wanted to stay right to the end, but I can't understand the constant criticism of people who leave a little early. The fact that they've paid a shit-load of money and gone to the trouble of going to the game tells you all you need to know. If they leave early to avoid getting stuck in the car-park or in a massive queue for public transport, that's their decision. If the team needs every last fan to stay there for the whole match, cheering them on, then they should work on ways to get people out of the area more efficiently after the game. And so what it those fans missed the winning goal - I bet all the true City fans amongst them care far more that we won the game than that they actually saw the goal in person, wonderful though that would have been.
