Aston Villa (H) Post Match Thread

Straight out of the you can’t make this up playbook. I was driving home from the game tonight listening to talk sport. Some guy calls in, and after congratulating City on winning the league again goes in to say ”given the amount of money have spent, shouldnt questions be asked about how they only managed to win by one point”. I kid you you not !
I’ve no sympathy. If you will listen to talksport…..

Does anyone else think the switching of ends at the start of the game threw us, or am I clutching at straws?
No, I took that to be another attempt at psyching us out, and then if that didn't work the timewasting on a grand scale. Oliver wasn't arsed about two things today - the timewasting, which should be a straight yellow after the first clear attempt to take thirty seconds over a goal kick, and that little shite who thought he could stand two yards away from our free kicks when they were within launching distance.

Anyone else old enough to remember finishing runners up to Liverpool back in 1976-1977 season by just 1 point. ?

We got revenge for that also today :-) Unbelievably that was 45 years ago now.

And the haters say we had no history until the take over.Clowns.

This was my first season as a season ticket holder. I remember it well. I thought it was the norm, little did I know what would follow. The life of a football fan has many ups and downs. We are so unbelievably lucky that recently there has been so many ups. For such a long time life was really quite grim but we were a family, through it all. Bloody hard work though and we are fortunate that there have been ups. many don't get to experience that.
