Aston Villa (H) Post Match Thread

They will say whatever they like to disparage us. Alvarez will be labelled an expensive reserve, Haaland’s real fee was £100m and he’s only staying two years, Pep is just a chequebook manager for a club with no soul.
We suffer from a lack of characters, coming back from 2-0 twice in the final week was the result of a conspiracy of brown envelopes.
Bingo!
PS 93.20 was fixed!
Fixed in the stars on the day I was born. Ne'er a penny piece changed hands. The Gods of Football knew what they wanted - a sky blue fairy tale that HCA would have written!

Terrific. That’s lower East Stand, right?
In the middle of being a total madman, I got a grip long enough to turn round and look at the the third tier of the South Stand, and then do a swivel round the whole stadium, stand by stand. It really is something to see the whole stadium collectively doing its nut, including right up to the upper tiers. We should do it more. It’s fun. God knows there are enough reasons, and not only being PL champions.
I’ll never, ever take these trophies for granted, or indeed getting to Wembley at all. And the trophies, fine as they are, are incidental to my supporting City. I just had no choice, really.
Yes, lower East Stand - I'm in it and think its mainly blocks 109 and 110. Loved seeing the whole stadium doing the Poznan

The irony about Peter Drury’s commentary is that whilst we are all waxing lyrical regarding his wondrous delivery, diction and prose, I wager he will be fuming with himself for making a couple of (what he would doubtless consider to be) basic errors. Liverpool were never top (he did amend that comment) and though it is factually correct we were 1-2 down, 0-2 is obviously the story. Just shows what having to cope with City matches can do to even the greatest commentator in world football!

One question....and it's obviously a moot point, but I'm just curious. Looking at the build up to the third goal, when Cancelo plays his pass forward and Jesus tries to run onto it, it looks like Jesus is onside before Mings intercepts and then KDB collects. So no issue. However.....if Jesus had been just offside as Cancelo plays the pass but Mings still intercepts without Jesus touching the ball, could VAR pull that back for offside and rule out the goal? Richard The Ref and others ITK it would be good to hear your thoughts.

As I say, it's a moot point now, but I was crapping it in case VAR intervened. I couldn't really go bananas until I was sure VAR wasn't getting involved.
