Aston Villa (H) Post Match Thread

Today was the first morning in weeks that I have woken up not feeling stressed. City won the PL and as a bonus I also won all my fantasy football mini leagues (maybe when Pep retires….?)

Can’t say I woke up stress free yesterday, Sunday definitely took some recovering from!

It’s gonna be dull for 3 months now, thanks fifa for moving the World Cup to the desert you corrupt cunts
On the other hand, it's the first decent break our international players will have had for a long while. No late return to training. Several weeks for Haaland to practise being where Gundogan was on Sunday...

I love watching the boiling, seething mass of the crowd when the 2nd/3rd goals are scored. Even way up in the gods it was messy.

Limbs!
'boiling, seething mass' is such an apt way of putting it.

It really was just that. The way the goals went in, 2 minutes apart, just contributed to a collective building of anticipation and excitement, culminating in a sheer eruption of joy. it was just perfect!

Be honest, how many times has everyone watched the highlights today?
Not many today yet (at work). Watched it a couple of times yesterday evening after getting back home from Manchester. The Zinchenko exaggerated step over leading to Rodri's goal is hilarious. Ditto Walker's Usain Bolt impression when the third goal went in. Watching him on the telly, you don't always get a true idea of how quick he is. But I was sat in the approximate area he ran to. Bloody hell; even not at 100%, he's bloody quick.
